We wrapped up the 2026 Club Wrestling Season this weekend at the ISWA Freestyle and Greco State Tournament. Biggest story of the day is that Devyn Pewarski is recovering from a serious elbow injury and is doing well.

BTWC had a tough weekend on the mat but were right in a lot of matches with some really good wrestlers. Our kids wrestled incredibly hard and a couple found their way onto the podium at the end of the day.

At Junior 140, Devyn Pewarski medically forfeited each match with her elbow injury. She was in a tight match with the eventual 3rd place finisher when it happened and finished 8th.

Wrestling 16U 130, Ellie Eaton started her first match up 6-0 before running out of gas in a barn burner 7-8. She wrestled a tough consolation semi-finals match and then came out on the wrong end of another 5-6 decision to finish 8th.

16U Heavyweight Brody McKinney wrestled into a draw with a couple of raw big-boy athletes, drawing the 3rd place finisher right out the gate and matching up with the eventual 7th place finisher in the first round on the consolation side.

At 10U girls, Izzy Morgan won both her Freestyle matches and was the only Greco registrant, which means she completed the prestigious Indiana State Wrestling Association Triple Crown, by winning the Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco State Titles in the same year!

Another great weekend on the mats! We had 3 wrestlers competing yesterday.

At 16U 135, Ellie Eaton wrestled tough against a pair of Regional Qualifiers.

At 16U Heavyweight, Brody McKinney pinned and teched his Franklin Central opponent, giving up 0 points on the day!

At 10U, Izzy Morgan continued on her tear, wrestling 7 matches in both the girls and boys divisions AND in greco, earning 2 golds and a silver on the day.

This week we are hosting Dylan Lydy and Isaac Ray's clinic on Monday and Wednesday!

We're back at it next Saturday at either Warren Central or Mooresville.

Sheridan's own Izzy Morgan competed all the way out in Spokane, Washington at the USAWrestling Women's National Championships against some of the best wrestlers in the country! In Freestyle, she made it to the semi finals before falling to the eventual champ and battling back for 5th place and placed 4th in Greco as well!

BTWC wrestled in the inaugural Greenfield Wrestling Club Cougar Clash Freestyle Open. We always appreciate a tournament that starts on time and doesn’t run out of food in the concession stand! We were all high schoolers today.

At 16U 135, Ellie Eaton took 3rd place, coming out on the wrong end of a 3-way tie at the top including Ellie’s win over the tournament champ and IHSAA State Qualifier from Franklin Central.

Wrestling 16U 155, Emmily Jacobo-Silva got her first taste of Freestyle action in a brutal bracket, wrestling IHSAA 3rd place finisher from Whiteland 2x.

At 16U 285, Brody McKinley showed up to compete in a deep pool. He finished 4th, beating his opponent from Roncalli and improving against an IHSAA State Qualifier, an ISWA Freestyle 3rd place finisher, and an ISWA Folkstyle Runner-Up.

Wrestling at Junior 120, Aubrey Koch showed her mental toughness after dropping her first two and then rattling off a tech-fall and a pin to finish 3rd.

Wrapping out the tournament was Miss Reliable herself, Devyn Pewarski at Junior 135, securing 2 tech-falls on her way to the top of the podium.

Great day today with a lot of success to build on! We plan to be back in action on Saturday, April 18 at Yorktown.
