Tonight, our football team showed us that community is about so much more than what happens on the field. ππ
As they ran onto the field, they carried posters honoring three beautiful students we have lost to childhood cancer, including Taylor Meredith, Jesse Schott, and our beloved captain, Isabelle Coy. They also proudly carried a childhood cancer awareness flagβa powerful reminder that these young lives, their stories, and the love we have for them will never be forgotten.
To our football players, coaches, and entire football family: thank you. Thank you for standing with us, for remembering, for honoring, and for showing such overwhelming love and support when so many often forget to honor the fight these children and their families face.
Your actions tonight spoke louder than words ever could. You reminded our community that we carry one another, that we remember those who should still be here, and that their legacies continue to inspire us.
Seeing Isabelleβs face carried onto that field was incredibly emotional. She will always be our captain, always be part of our team, and always have a place in our hearts. π
Thank you for using your platform to shine a light on childhood cancer and, most importantly, to shine a light on Isabelle, and the other two precious students we carry with us.
This is what community looks like.
This is what love looks like.
This is what it means to be not just a team, but a family.πποΈπ
