Shenandoah Community Fitness Center users:
We have been noticing an increase in rules being broken. We want to take a moment to remind ALL cardholders of the rules that YOU (and/or parent) signed agreeing to when you initially signed up.
The Fitness Center waiver states "I recognize that use of the Shenandoah Community Fitness Center can be revoked if I exhibit any behaviors that are not in accordance with any applicable fitness center rules and regulations and/or are not professional in nature."
Here are the biggest rules we want to send a reminder for:
1. Members ages 14-16 MUST have a parent/guardian present at all times in the Fitness Center & both MUST have active passes.
2. DO NOT LET ANYONE IN WITH YOUR CARD! The door may unlock, but all cardholders need to still scan their card at the door reader. Also, sharing your membership card with anyone is grounds for suspension of membership. The card is ONLY your card.
3. If you are inside and see someone trying to get in, do not let them in, unless they can provide a receipt of payment from City Hall.
4. Change shoes upon entering. No street shoes, boots, sandals or bare feet allowed!
5. Dropping weights, loud noises (swearing, grunting, etc.) and loud music are NOT acceptable.
We are still monitoring the Fitness Center with our camera system, but there are times it is hard to identify a member. IF you see someone breaking rules, please let us know so we can address the issue with the individual (if you know who it is, please tell us).
Remember: The Fitness Center pass is a privilege and can be taken away at any time.
