Every basketball journey starts somewhere.

For John and Rich, it started at Shelton Biddy—and continued through Fairfield Prep, Montverde, the MAAC, A-10, ACC, an NCAA championship, professional basketball and now the Boston Celtics.

That experience helps shape what we believe at DDB.

Our player development sessions and teams are coached by experienced players, coaches and teachers of the game.

EVALUATION SCHEDULE

Tuesday, September 8 – Boys
• 6–7 PM: Grades 3–4 and 5–6
• 7–8 PM: Grades 7–8 and 9–12

Wednesday, September 9 – Girls
• 6–7 PM: Grades 3–4 and 5–6
• 7–8 PM: Grades 7–8 and 9–12

Thursday, September 10 – Alternative Night
• 6–8 PM for players unable to attend their assigned session and invited callbacks

💲 Evaluation fee: $25
The complete fee will be credited toward fall team tuition if the player accepts a team placement.

The season is expected to begin the week of September 14. Practices may be held in New Haven and Fairfield counties. Competition may include Vertical Hoops league play, selected Zero Gravity tournaments, scrimmages and other local events.

Final teams, coaches, practice locations and schedules will be determined following evaluations.

These camps are open to boys and girls entering Grades 2–9.

We are especially encouraging more girls to participate as we work to grow girls basketball opportunities in our area. Girls can attend individually or register with a friend, sister, or teammate.

Boys remain fully welcome. Players will be grouped by age and ability for an appropriate learning and competitive experience.
