Bad Medicine Race/Ride/Tour

After much deliberation, we have decided to cancel Bad Medicine Ride 2023.

The original purpose of the event was to bring more biking related activity to Shell Valley throughout the season. The one day event has been incredible fun but has not resulted in additional year-round activity as we hoped.

We still feel strongly about the potential of Shell Valley and how outdoor recreation supports an incredible quality of life. We will be directing our efforts into other opportunities to accomplish the mission.

Thank you to everyone for the last 4 years, it’s been a great ride! We’ll see you on the trail in other ways.

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN US FOR BAD MEDICINE 2023? HERE'S WHAT BRAD METZLER, A BAD MEDICINE REGULAR FROM POWELL, WYOMING HAS TO SAY:

"The Bad Medicine race, well the 32 mile course, is one of my favorites! It starts with a nice warm up right in to some perfectly technical climbs. Around the halfway point turn on the afterburner because it gets real fast and is an amazing descent. The 56 mile course is also a super fun course. It's some of the most beautiful terrain God has to offer. From the crazy colors of the desert to the alpine mountain tops of the Bighorn Mountains. The after party is held in my personal favorite park (behind the Old Shell Store in downtown Shell, WY). Giant cottonwoods provide shade if needed. Cannot say enough about the Old Shell Store. Favorite places to grab a burger and fries. My family and friends make the trip to Shell just to eat several times during the summer. Definitely a two thumbs up event."
