We will have sign-ups for the 2023 football season in Mid May. We are looking for a couple of B team coaches. The B team consists of 4th and 5th graders. I'll post again when the dates are set.

Reminder JFL banquets are this Sunday. This will be at the bigger Pavilion by the beach. Players only with a meal provided. Lightweights and B team 330-5.
Parents are welcome to come back at 430 for awards and pictures.

The Fighting Illini are now ranked for the first time in 11 years. Here is a link to order tickets for Sarurdays game. They are discounted ticket prices that they send us for 1 game every season.
If you are an Illini fan and want to take the kiddos to a game this is a great opportunity for good seats at a very cheap price.

Tomorrow is the Scarecrow Daze Festival downtown. Each of the Head Coaches will be in the Dunk Tank in the Mini Park by Joe's Pizza. Coach Peterson at 11 AM. Coach Jones 1130 AM. Coach Tull at Noon. Bring out the kids and let them throw the Ball and see if they can dunk the Coaches! Thanks Coach's for Volunteering more of your time!

All JFL players be at Football field by 615 tomorrow night. They will start announcing each team at 630 on the dot.

All JFL players will be announced at October 7th varsity football game at 630 PM. Instead of at halftime they will be announcing before the game this year. Please wear your jersey and all JFL players will get in free.

Lightweights won yesterday 34-14 and finish the season 6-1. Heavyweights lost 14-34 and finished the season 3-4. Very good season by both teams as the Heavyweights record doesn't show exactly how tough they were this season. I want to thank Jason Rhodes, Theresa Rhodes, and their family one last time for the last 7 years of running the JFL program and the job that they have done. Jason has stayed on the last 2 seasons and helped me with the transformation of taking over as Commissioner.

Reminder: after each game we will do equipment turn in. We will have a truck and trailer by concession.

Shoulder pads
If you have your own chin strap or anything that you bought be sure to switch it out with what came with the helmet.
