Happy first day back to school! We hope everyone across the district experienced a smooth and positive transition into the new year.
I want to take a moment to recognize our student‑athletes at MCM. During the after‑school staff meeting, our football players received outstanding feedback on day one. They were praised for their respectfulness, their willingness to help guide others, their attentiveness, and their leadership in the classroom. These are the exact qualities we emphasize as a coaching staff, and today they represented our program with excellence. They are students first, and they upheld our standard from the moment they walked through the door. We must win in the classroom and at home before we can win on the field. We are incredibly proud of them.
Of course, it’s only day one. Our responsibility now is to continue pushing, supporting, and holding them to the principles and expectations that define our program. Our student‑athletes must keep setting the standard, exceeding the standard, and raising the standard every single day.
