Happy to announce that Lucky Duck River Rentals & Market will start our 2024 kayaking & tubing season tomorrow April 26th at 8 a.m.! The Perseid (pronounced PER-see-id) meteor shower is an annual event that occurs from July 23 to August 22. Peak activity in 2023 is expected during the overnight hours of August 12-13.

The Perseids are known for being one of the brightest and most numerous meteor showers, and even if viewing conditions aren't ideal, you're likely to see some meteors.

Some Perseids are seen as early as nine or ten o’clock, but after midnight their numbers begin to increase. Those who can escape bright city lights might see the 60–90 meteors each hour.

Good morning, Yakers. Unfortunately we will be closed 7/23/23 still due to strong streamflow and height of the river. With the dam slowing down the release and good weather, we are aiming on being back open Monday! Thank you and please be safe!
