Registration for Flag Football is NOW OPEN! 🏈
Last year’s season was absolutely phenomenal thanks to our players, families, coaches, and volunteers – the energy on the fields was incredible and we can’t wait to build on that momentum this year. We’re excited to welcome back returning athletes and introduce new faces to a fun, fast-paced, non-contact football experience.

Practice begins the week of April 28, and the first games kick off the week of May 11, so now is the perfect time to get registered and get ready for another great season. Spots will fill up quickly, so don’t wait: click the registration link, get your child signed up in person at Shelby City Park and share this post to help us spread the word.

Shelby Lions important info.

After tomorrow championship game, ALL players will turn in their equipment (shoulder pads, helmet, and practice pants and jersey) along with their game jersey and pants.
Please bring a change of clothes.

Also Thursday November 13 is our Football Banquet.
Our guest speaker will be former Shelby Golden Lion, UNC Tarheel, and Kansas City Chief Robert Williams.
Banquet will start at 6pm in the gymnasium.

Good luck to our midget team tomorrow as they face Top Prospect Silverbacks! Game time is 1pm at Shelby High School.

We are down to championships week and our Shelby Lions midget team is in the championship game against the Top Prospect Silverbacks.

If your son attends James Love Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Elizabeth Elementary, is going to the 6th at Shelby Middle, or lives in the Shelby City limits, he can play footballll here at the Shekby City Parkk for the Lions

Tonight we had our banquet for the 2024 season.
So proud of our kids and all they accomplished this year.
Special thanks to Shelby Head Football Coach Mike Wilbanks for speaking at our banquet.
And congrats to our Midget team (5-6 graders) for winning the CCYFBL Championship. It was a great night of celebration.

Thank you to all the parents, players, cheerleaders, and coaches for believing in this program and being part of something special.
