🏆 FIGL League Champions — Hunter & Jared 🏆

Huge congratulations to Hunter & Jared for winning the 2026 FIGL League Championship and locking in the #1 seed heading into the Wally Cup Playoffs.

They slammed the door shut last night, grubbing Todd & Paul to cement their spot at the very top of the leaderboard. Absolute clinic. Zero doubt. Statement win.

Now the road to the Wally Cup runs straight through them.

Week 18 Wrap Up — One Week Left, Everything Jammed, Chaos Pending
One week remains in the regular season, and the cut line sits at 23 points — and just like every year, half the league is stacked on it like firewood.

At the top, Hunter & Jared sit at 40, still cruising like they’ve already picked out their championship shirts. Right behind them, Connor & Kelly and Scott & Brett are tied at 39, and here’s where things get spicy:
They play each other this week.
A winner take something matchup — bragging rights, momentum, maybe even the #1 seed depending on how the cards fall. Loser? They get to pretend they’re “saving it for playoffs.”
But that’s not the only marquee matchup…
Todd & Paul take on Hunter & Jared.
If FIGL history has taught us anything, it’s that Todd & Paul are fully capable of cutting the top team up like cord wood on any given Thursday. Will it happen? Probably not. Could it happen? Absolutely — and that’s why FIGL is FIGL.

Mark & Bill sit at 37, lurking like a shark waiting for someone above them to slip. Todd & Tracy and Sam & Dylan at 34 are still very much in the hunt.

The mid pack blender continues: Jim & Pete, Mike & Jim Boes, and Joe & Al at 31, Jim & Scott and Jake & Brad at 30, all one heater round away from flipping the playoff picture upside down.
Below the cut line, it’s survival mode: Tom & Randy at 26, Joe & Noah at 24, and a cluster of teams between 21–23 clawing for daylight. Todd & Paul at 21 — still swinging, still scheming, still capable of chaos.

Playoff Picture Update
The cut line is 23, and it’s jammed tighter than Pete’s excuses.
Tie breakers? Not yet — those come next week. So just worry about winning points… then it won’t come down to that. Or maybe it will??

And yes — Pete did not suck this week, but they still didn’t win. Even when he doesn’t suck… they still suck. FIGL math.

Week 17 Wrap Up — The Logjam Before the Storm

Two weeks left until the Wally Cup Playoffs, and the standings look like rush hour traffic with no turn signals.

Hunter & Jared hold first at 37 points, still cruising like they’ve got the trophy GPS locked in. Connor & Kelly and Scott & Brett are tied at 36, both breathing down the leaders’ necks. Mark & Bill sit at 34, lurking like sharks in calm water. Todd & Tracy climb to 32, officially in “don’t blink or you’ll lose your spot” territory.

The mid pack is a blender: Sam & Dylan at 31, Jim & Pete, Jim & Scott, and Jake & Brad all at 30, Joe & Al at 29, and Mike & Jim Boes at 28 — every one of them one heater round away from flipping the playoff picture upside down.

As you get closer to the cut line, it’s pure survival mode: Tom & Randy at 26, Joe & Noah at 24, and a cluster of teams between 20–23 clawing for daylight. Todd & Paul sit at 20, right on the cut line, still swinging, still scheming, still capable of chaos.

Playoff Picture Update
Only two weeks remain until the Wally Cup Playoffs, and the cut line sits at 20 points. It’s a full blown logjam — tie breakers aren’t in play yet, and won’t be until the final week. So just worry about winning points… then it won’t come down to that. Or maybe it will?

Money Winners – Week 17
• Closest to the Pin #2 — Bill Lorenz
• Closest to the Pin #9 — Jerry Simons
• Longest Putt #7 — Samuel Cooper

Week 16 Wrap Up — Three Weeks to the Wally Cup
Week 16 came in hot and immediately started rearranging the leaderboard furniture.

Hunter & Jared stay perched at 36 points, cruising like they’ve already booked their Wally Cup tee time. Connor & Kelly and Scott & Brett are locked at 33, both staring at first place like it’s a buffet line they’re about to cut.

Mark & Bill slide into fourth with 32, proving that consistency is a weapon.

Jim & Pete hold 30, still powered by Lucky Blue Cart magic and Pete’s refusal to miss a fairway.

Then comes the 29 point traffic jam — Joe & Al, Todd & Tracy, Jake & Brad — all one heater round away from detonating the standings.

Mike & Jim Boes, Jim & Scott, and Sam & Dylan sit at 28, officially in “don’t blink or you’ll drop three spots” territory.

Below that , the scramble is real: Joe & Noah at 24, Tom & Randy at 23, and a cluster of teams between 17–22 fighting for survival.

And then… Todd & Paul at 17, still swinging, still smiling, still somehow winning two money holes while sitting on top of four teams tied for last. FIGL justice never sleeps.
Playoff Picture Update

Only 3 weeks remain until the Wally Cup Playoffs, and the cut line is now at 20 points. Above it? You’re cruising. On it? You’re sweating. Below it? You’re officially in “Slappy rage breaking his club” territory.

Money Winners – Week 16
• Closest to the Pin #2 — Tracy Bonjernoor
• Closest to the Pin #5 — Paul Tiefenthal
• Longest Putt #6 — Paul Tiefenthal
The Secretary’s Money Hole Heist — Paul T snags two money holes in one night. Woot Woot! And yet… still tied for last place. Balance restored.

Update:

Had a few interruptions last night while updating the cards and scores, so I had to make a tiny correction. What can I say — Paul giveth points, Paul taketh away, and sometimes Paul just hits “undo” because chaos won.

Week 15 Recap — The League Is Officially Unhinged

Week 15 came in hot and immediately started rearranging furniture.
Hunter & Jared jump back into 1st at 33 points, acting like they never left and refusing to acknowledge the stress they’re causing everyone behind them. Scott & Brett sit at 32, still glaring at the top spot like it owes them money.

Then things get spicy.
Connor & Kelly rocket to 30, officially joining the “we can win this thing” conversation. Jim & Pete sit at 29, still need to get back some of that Lucky Blue Cart magic and Pete’s refusal to miss a fairway.
Behind them, the 28 point trio — Jim & Scott, Todd & Tracy — are now in full “don’t blink or you’ll drop three spots” mode.

The mid pack is a blender: Mike & Jim Boes and Mark & Bill at 27, Joe & Al and Jake & Brad at 26, and Sam & Dylan at 25 — all one heater round away from blowing up the playoff picture.
Below the line, the scramble begins: Tom & Randy at 23, Spencer & Steve and Joe & Noah at 21, and a cluster at 17–19 trying to claw their way into relevance.

And then… Todd & Paul at 14, still swinging, still fighting, still one miracle week away from making the league very uncomfortable.
Playoff Picture Update

There are 4 weeks left until the playoffs, and the cut line is now at 18 points. Above it? You’re breathing. Below it? You’re sweating. Right on it? You’re lying to yourself.

Congratulations to Mike Benson, Jim Boes, Mark Benson, and Bill Lorenz on firing a strong ‑11 and winning the annual Fruitport Independent Golf League Scramble!

The weather wasn’t exactly doing us any favors, but everyone pushed through and made it another great day together.

Huge thanks to everyone who participated in the raffle draw — your support really helps the budget, especially with costs being a bit higher than last year.

And a big thank‑you to Mark Inglis and his staff at Oceana Golf Club for hosting us again this year. We appreciate everything you do for the league.

See you all Thursday night!!

Week 14 Recap — The Pressure Cooker Weeks
Week 14 tightened the screws on everybody.
At the top, Scott & Brett and Hunter & Jared are now tied at 30 points, basically acting like co mayors of the leaderboard. Neither wants to blink first.

Right behind them, Jim & Pete keep riding the Lucky Blue Cart energy into 28 points, proving once again that momentum is real and possibly powered by questionable beverages.

Connor & Kelly sit at 27, lurking like a pair of dudes waiting for someone above them to have a “learning experience.”

Then comes the 26 point traffic jam — Mark & Bill, Jim & Scott, Jake & Brad — all stacked tighter than tees in the starter shack.
Todd & Tracy and Sam & Dylan sit at 25, officially in “one good week from chaos” territory.

Below that, the standings turn into a scramble of their own: Mike & Jim Boes at 24, Tom & Randy and Joe & Al at 23, and a whole cluster between 17–19 trying to claw their way above the playoff line.

And then… Todd & Paul at 14, still swinging, still fighting, still one heater round away from making things interesting.

Playoff Picture Update
There are 5 weeks left until the playoffs, and the cut line has officially moved to 18 points. If you’re above it, you breathe easy. If you’re below it… it’s time to start swinging like Birdie’s standing behind you yelling “HIT IT HARDER.”

Money Winners – Week 14
• Closest to the Pin #9 — Joe Fehler
• Closest to the Pin #2 — Scott Tiefenthal
• Longest Putt #3 — Greg Huck

Scramble Announcement
And now… the moment half the league has been bugging you about for two weeks:
Here are the much anticipated pairings for the Fruitport Independent Scramble. Best of luck to all the teams — may your drives be straight, your putts be kind, and your partner actually show up on time.

Week 13 Recap

Week 13 didn’t just shake the standings — it drop kicked them.
Scott & Brett storm into 1st place with 28 points, officially declaring themselves the new HOA presidents of the leaderboard. They didn’t ask permission. They didn’t file paperwork. They just moved in and changed the locks.

Hunter & Jared slide to 27, still dangerous, still smug, still absolutely the guys who say “we’re fine” even when they’re not.
Then we’ve got the chaos twins: Jim & Pete and Todd & Tracy at 25, both acting like they’ve discovered the cheat codes. Pete is still riding the momentum from the Lucky Blue Cart, and Jim is just happy nobody made him putt from 60 feet again.

Connor & Kelly sit at 24, lurking like a pair of dudes waiting for someone above them to have a “character building round.”
Then comes the 23 point traffic jam — Mark & Bill, Jim & Scott, Tom & Randy, Joe & Al, Jake & Brad — all stacked tighter than golf bags in the back of a Jeep. One good week and any of them could blow this whole thing up.

Below that, the standings look like a garage sale: Sam & Dylan at 22, Mike & Jim Boes at 21, Spencer & Steve at 18, Nate & Jason at 17, and a whole cluster at 15–16 clinging to playoff hopes like a guy trying to save his last ProV1 from the water.

And then… Todd & Paul at 14, officially one point below the cut line with five weeks left. It’s comeback season. Or chaos season. Or both.

Playoff Picture Update
Five weeks remain. The cut line is 16 points. If you’re above it, congratulations — you’re still breathing. If you’re below it, start swinging like you’re being chased by Birdie with a megaphone.

Money Winners – Week 13
• Closest to the Pin #5 — Paul Grycki
• Closest to the Pin #2 — Todd Viereck
• Longest Putt #1 — Brett Grevel

Week 12 Recap — The Stretch Run Shuffle

Week 12 shook the standings like a cart hitting a surprise pothole.
Hunter & Jared jump to 27 points, still cruising like they’re trying to finish the season before anyone else finishes stretching. Scott & Brett lock in 25, quietly stalking the leaders like they’ve got binoculars and a plan. And Todd & Tracy crash the top three with 24, officially making things uncomfortable for everyone above and below them.

Right behind, Jim & Scott and Tom & Randy sit at 23, forming a very cranky, very competitive mid pack cluster.
The 20 point crowd — Joe & Al and Jake & Brad — are now officially in “one good week and we’re relevant again” territory.
Below that, the standings turn into a full blown traffic jam: Sam & Dylan at 19, Mike & Jim Boes at 18, Spencer & Steve and Nate & Jason at 17, and the rest of the league packed together like they’re waiting for the starter to yell “just hit the ball!”
Down in the “we’re trying, okay?” zone, Todd & Paul sit at 13, still clawing their way upward like they’re trying to escape a bunker with a putter.

The Lucky Blue Cart Heist (Main Body Edition)
Somewhere in the chaos, Pete & Jim managed to swipe three points riding in the lucky blue cart — because apparently that thing is powered by good fortune, questionable decisions, and maybe a hidden horseshoe under the seat. If you see it rolling by, hop in. It’s basically a cheat code.

Playoff Picture Update
The cut line is officially at 15 points with 4 weeks left in the regular season. If you’re above it, you’re in the hunt. If you’re below it… time to start playing like your cart payment depends on it.

Money Winners – Week 12
• Closest to the Pin #5 — Kelly Peterson
• Closest to the Pin #9 — Kelly Peterson
• Longest Putt #8 — Pete Rowan
Kelly went full sniper this week — two pins, no apologies.
