BIG NEWS from two of South Carolina’s premier drag strips! Carolina Dragway and Darlington Dragway have teamed up to offer bracket racers a great program for additional year-end payouts. The Palmetto Bracket Challenge bracket points series is open to Super Pro/Top/Box, Pro/Mod/No Box, and Jr. Dragster drivers.

At the end of the 2022 drag racing season, participants can claim their top 5 races from each track to come up with their Palmetto Bracket Challenge points total. In Super Pro/Top/Box, a guaranteed minimum purse of $1,000 will be paid while the Pro/Mod/No Box winner will score an extra $500 for their year and the Jr. Dragsters first place finisher will receive a $100 payout.

All payouts are guaranteed and 100% of entry fees will be added on top of the minimum purses so that racers can earn even more cash when the 2022 Palmetto Bracket Challenge concludes.

Carolina Dragway in Aiken will offer ten different bracket races throughout its 2022 season and Darlington Dragway in Hartsville also has ten dates on the calendar to choose from.

Registrations must be completed by May 21 and drivers can enter at the gate when they arrive at either track; the cost to sign up is only $50, $25, or $25, respectively, for each of the three categories.

First MW Racing methanol carburetor. I think this is finally something I can work with! It is heavily modified- main body drilled, metering blocks milled, drilled, threaded, plugged, custom idle jets, bowls modified, and much more. It doesn’t burn your eyes, uses little alcohol, builds heat, and has great throttle response. I still have a lot to learn but it’s close. Testing as early as this weekend. We will see…

The latest jr dragster weight tank turned out much better than expected. I’m really excited about a local powder coat shop I found. This is my first fabricated part I’ve had powder coated and it turned out great!!!
