What an incredible season for our girls basketball team! The team finished with an outstanding 20–4 record and went undefeated in conference play, capturing the conference championship for the first time since 2013.
This group showed heart, determination, and true teamwork all season long. From the first practice to the final buzzer, their commitment to each other and the program was something special to watch.
We also want to send a huge thank you to our amazing community. The support this season was incredible. It was truly special to see the gyms filled with purple and white, cheering on these athletes every night. Your energy and support meant the world to our players and coaches.
A special thank you to our lone senior, Kylie Brown, for her leadership, dedication, and the example she set for this team all season long. We wish Kylie all the best as she finishes up her time at Shelby and continues her education at BYU next year. Your impact on this program will not be forgotten.
With only one senior graduating, this young team returns a strong core next season, and we are excited to see what the future holds for this group.
Many of them didn’t waste any time getting back in the gym, hitting the court again just days after our last game, continuing to work and get better for next year.
