Merry Christmas from me and my beautiful girls. My nephew Liam sure enjoyed his Christmas gift last night and it made this Uncle pretty happy to see his face.

Well nothing like waiting until the last minute but I finally found some more time to get my nephews goose call finished up.

GT-1 short reed made of a blue maple burl and blue pearl resin hybrid blank with a brass band. Blue is his favorite color. Did something different and used my flute call guts which made this call super easy to run for a little guy.

Can't wait to see the look on his face.

Felt good to be in the shop and finishing a call. Has me motivated again.

When you've asked your 7 year old nephew multiple times what he wants for Christmas and everytime with a smile he says a goose call. Well that means uncle Levi has gotta buckle down and get into the shop. After basically a year out of the shop it felt good to be back turning again and has me ready to get some back orders finished up.

Shoutout to my husband! This Sunday we celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. He made a call for me wayyyy back in the day (the pink and black laminated call) and when we got married he started a tradition of making me a call each anniversary.

Hunting is clearly his thing, but these calls will always mean the world to me because they were turned from his hands. This year I was super jealous of the orange call he made for Delta Waterfowl with the snakeskin cast. I am slightly obsessed with snakeskin and little did I know he had a purple blank set aside for me. Purple/black are my favorite color combos. The thoughtfulness that goes into this every year, and that goes with every call Levi turns, is just one of the attributes that makes him so incredible. I will treasure these forever.

Goose flute in Old school camo acrylic image rod. Black canvas micarta caps with 2 white spacers and 1 brown spacer.
