Expedition Horizon challenge idea: Vista Views — Kick Pic!

Summer is the perfect time to take your martial arts spirit outside the classroom.

Students can earn their Vista Views — Kick Pic sticker by taking a picture doing a kick somewhere fun this summer.

It could be at a park, on vacation, by the pool, at a landmark, or anywhere exciting.

Post your picture, tag Horizon ATA, or share it directly with an instructor so we can see your summer kick pic!

This is a fun way to show your Horizon spirit, capture the moment, and keep climbing your mountain all summer long.

Testing was a milestone, not the finish line.

Congratulations to everyone who took their next step at testing!

Earning a new rank is exciting, but the real growth comes from what happens next: showing up, staying consistent, and continuing to build confidence, discipline, focus, and resilience.

Summer can be busy. Schedules change. Vacations happen. But progress continues when students keep climbing one class at a time.

Let’s use this week to reset, refocus, and keep moving forward.

Today we want to celebrate the dads, grandpas, father figures, and role models who help our students grow.

Thank you for the rides to class, the encouragement from the sidelines, the high-fives after testing, the practice at home, and the quiet example you set every day.

So much of what we teach at Horizon ATA — confidence, respect, discipline, resilience, and leadership — is strengthened by the support students receive from the people who believe in them most.

**Hello Summer!**

Summer is here, and while routines may change, growth does not have to stop.

This is the perfect time to keep building confidence, discipline, focus, and resilience. For our current students, summer is a chance to stay consistent, keep progressing, and continue climbing your mountain.

For families who are not members yet, summer is also a great time to get started. With school out and schedules a little more flexible, now is the perfect opportunity to help your child build positive habits, stay active, and grow in confidence before the school year begins again.

A strong summer can create an even stronger fall.

Parents — final call for Trail Buddy!

The Trail Buddy — Early Route sticker is almost gone.

If your child wants to earn it, they need to bring a friend to try class before July 1st.

Once July 1 arrives, this sticker can no longer be earned.

This is a fun one to complete, and it is always exciting when students get to add another sticker to their Expedition Horizon bottle.

Invite a friend, schedule the visit, and help your child finish this part of the climb!

**It’s testing day!**

Today is a big step on the Expedition Horizon journey.

Students can earn their **Base Camp 2** sticker by attending **June belt testing**, and we are excited to see them show their focus, effort, courage, and progress.

Testing is about more than earning a new rank. It is a chance to show how far you’ve come and take the next step on your climb.

**Reminder:** There are **NO regular classes today** because of testing.

Students attending testing should wear their **FULL white uniforms**.

Good luck to all of our students today — now let’s keep climbing that mountain!

Expedition Horizon challenge reminder: Combo Climber!

Students can earn their Combo Climber sticker by creating their own 4-move martial arts combo.

Here’s the challenge:

Create your combo.
Practice it.
Perform it somewhere fun or elevated.
Record your video, post it on social media, and tag us — or share it directly with an instructor.

Your combo can be simple, creative, powerful, or totally your own style.

The goal is to keep training, keep moving, and keep climbing your mountain.

Students can earn their Base Camp 2 sticker by attending belt testing during the month of June. This badge represents progress, preparation, courage, and the next step on their journey.

Testing is more than earning a new rank. It is a chance for students to show how far they have climbed, what they have been practicing, and how ready they are for the next challenge.
