🚨 NORTH SANTA ROSA BEACH & FREEPORT PARENTS THIS IS FOR YOU. 🌊

Your child doesn’t have to be afraid of the water for you to take water safety seriously.

In fact, some of the biggest risks happen when children are comfortable and curious around water.

A pool in the backyard.
A neighbor’s pool.
A dock on the bay.
A vacation rental.
A trip to the beach.

It only takes one unexpected moment.

That’s why ISR 920 Survival Swim is coming to the North Santa Rosa Beach & Freeport communities. 🇺🇸🌴

As a Certified ISR Instructor, I teach age-appropriate survival swim skills designed to help children respond to an unexpected water emergency.

For infants and young children, that can include skills such as learning to roll, float, breathe, and work toward safety.

For older children, survival skills can help them build the ability to respond when they become tired, disoriented, or find themselves in water unexpectedly.

Swimming is a life skill. Survival is a life skill.

Man this little guy made me so proud!

This one hits different because this awesome dude was diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder this past year, and yet that did not stop him from learning skills that could save his life.

It was journey and one that helped shaped me as an instructor in ways that I never knew were possible. The ups and downs that led to his graduation are memories I will cherish forever.

I thank God, first and foremost. I prayed over this boy and his lessons every day. I prayed for wisdom and discernment. I prayed for the ability to notice his cues and for direction when shaping his lessons. I prayed for him and his ability to overcome the challenges and find his air.

I thank his family. Their trust in me meant the world. They were his greatest cheering section and helped make every day (even a challenging day) with him amazing!

It can be intimidating for families with special needs children to sign up for lessons and I completely understand why. It's a journey and not every day will be great. But if we keep showing up for these children we can greatly reduce the amount of drownings in autistic and special needs children.

I end this post with gratitude. Gratitude to play a small role in this boy's life and I look forward to having him back and continuing to build from the foundation we have set!!

Please pray for this family!!

Please pray for this family!!

Please pray and then repost this for Annelise Camp. She was in a drowning incident on Memorial Day.  Her heart is beating on its own.. shes on a ventilator but has no evident brain activity.  That said, study after study shows that these little kids have extremely resilient brains and should wait for at least three weeks after a severe injury.

We need a miracle and we are asking God to reduce the inflamation and have her brain restored.  Right now specific prayer needed:

Annelise is receiving a blood transfusion, and we are praying specifically that her body tolerates it well with zero adverse reactions, stable vitals, and complete peace over every part of the process. We are asking Jesus for protection over her heart, lungs, circulation, and every organ during the transfusion.

We are also praying for life and healing over her digestive system and bowels. The doctors are not currently hearing bowel sounds, so we are boldly praying for her bowels to wake up, function normally, and begin moving again so she can tolerate nutrition beyond liquids and receive a feeding tube safely.

Please pray for:

-Return of bowel sounds and movement
-Protection from infection and complications
-Strength for her body during the transfusion
-Healing in her brain and neurological pathways
-Wisdom for every doctor and nurse caring for her
