Long Post for a Long Day!

What an incredible day for Saber! So proud of everything she accomplished!

We started the morning at Country Paws Canine Resort & Athlete Center for AKC Fast CAT, and Saber came ready to run!

🐾 1st Run: 8.534 seconds — 23.96 MPH
🐾 2nd Run: 8.499 seconds — 24.06 MPH

Then we moved on to the AKC Farm Dog Certification, where dogs are tested through real farm situations and must pass with two judges. Saber did an amazing job and earned her FDC title (AKC pending)!

Next was the AKC Temperament Test, where she had to work through different scenarios and again pass with two judges — and she passed! Saber earned her ATT title (AKC pending)!

After all of that, we made the trip to The Doggie Paddle for some dock diving practice to get ready for our May events. It was the perfect way to finish such a successful day.

A huge thank you to the Clumber Spaniel Club of America for putting on this great event, Country Paws Canine Resort & Athlete Center for hosting, and especially Megan Romano for helping with Saber and spending the day with us.

Saber earned her ATT and FDC titles in one day, ran over 24 MPH, and still had energy left to practice dock diving — what a superstar!

So proud of this girl and excited for what’s ahead in May!

International Laser Tag Day PSA: Keep the lasers away from your pups!

It might seem like harmless fun, but laser pointers can actually be harmful for dogs—especially high-drive breeds like GSPs.

Chasing a laser triggers their prey drive… but they never “catch” it, leading to frustration and anxiety

Can create obsessive behaviors like chasing lights and shadows

Dogs may hurt themselves trying to catch something they can’t see, smell, or grab

And yes—lasers can damage their eyes if shined directly

Instead, swap the laser for toys they can catch and win 🐶💛

Let’s keep playtime fun, safe, and rewarding for our GSPs!
