EastMont – July 4th is right around the corner, here is a summary of all the happenings that day and how to get registered, signed up, attend, involved…. Make plans to come out and enjoy a great day! We will keep this post updated with information and publish again on Old Town Fields, LLC page closer to July 4th.
**8am Waldron Fitness Center Independence Day 5k and Fun Run (begins & ends at Old Town Fields in Shawsville, great mostly flat, road course for all ages and first time racers, walkers welcome!). Registration link https://runsignup.com/Race/VA/Shawsville/WaldronFitness5k
Registrations will be available on-site the day of the race (t-shirt not guaranteed, register early!)
**4pm Shawsville Ruritan Club Parade along OldTown Road in Shawsville (3:15p-3 :30p participants line up at E&E Automotive), contact Barnett Carr at at 540-523-1472 or [email protected] if you would like to participate; Classic cars, sports teams, churches, marching bands, livestock, businesses, and more are welcome!
**5:30p (approx. end of parade) gates open to Old Town Fields, concert, $5 admission, 6 and under free (16 & under must be accompanied by an adult), concessions, cold water, sno cones, adult beverages; come for the music and stay for the fireworks; come support local non-profits in fundraising EMHS Athletic Boosters
**6p-9p Concert at Old Town Fields by Area 581 Band sponsored by Blue Ridge Monument Inc.

**6p Dunk booth provided by Eastern Montgomery High School PTO Stop by see the people who have volunteered to be dunked!
