Most JCPRD facilities will be closed Friday, July 3 & Saturday, July 4, unless otherwise noted.

- JCPRD parks and trails will be open during regular park hours.
- Tomahawk Hills and Heritage Park golf courses will be open during regular hours, weather permitting
- Visitor Services at Shawnee Mission Park will be closed Friday. Purchase permits online at https://jcprd.com/642/Fishing-Boating-Permits
- Shawnee Mission Park Marina will be open regular hours Friday, July 3 and the last rental will be at 2:30 pm on Saturday, July 4.
- Shawnee Mission Park Beach will be open Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 from noon to 4 pm.
- Ernie Mill Nature Center is closed to drop-in visitors through mid-2026; park is open dawn to dusk.

- Shawnee Mission Park Beach will be Friday from Noon - 4 pm

FYI: The parking lot will be completely shut down at Okun Fieldhouse and the Mid-America West Sports Complex from 6:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. from Tuesday, March 24 to Thursday, March 26 for parking lot surfacing and striping.

In addition, there will be no walking hours at Okun Fieldhouse during this timeframe due to the parking lot work. Thank you for your understanding.

On March 24-26, the Okun Fieldhouse and Mid-America West Sports Complex parking lot will not open until 3:00 PM each day as we resurface the parking lot. Thank you for remaining patient as we finish up this major facility improvement.

As we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 19, our parks remain open but most of our facilities will be closed. They will return to normal operation on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
