Hi everyone. It’s going to be hot today and all this week but the "feels like" is close to the temperature. So we will be playing but with our new HEAT RULES.

Before going into our heat and hydration coverage, please participate at your own discretion. Captains you can forfeit or reschedule with your opponent if desired. Steps for that can be found in our FAQ, but please be courtious and reach out to them ASAP.

HEAT RULE:
3 games to 15. Giving you more rest, more shade, more hydration.

Courts will be watered before each hour.

Sandsocks, are available at our pro shop. These are game changers. As well as hats, cooling towels, fans, etc...

FREE water at several locations. Volleyball desk, soda machine, or at the bar.

Umbrellas are stocked up and ready for you.

We also have free play at 9:45 which, while late, is much cooler weather. We offer this every night so you can makeup any games.

I'm not crying you are crying.

After three incredible years with SMBV our amazing league and event manager Hillary Renae is moving on to an exciting new opportunity, continuing her passion and love for volleyball as a high-level collegiate official.

It’s hard to put into perspective just how much Hillary has done for SMBV. Over the past three years, she has scheduled more than 42,000 league games and run over 50 tournaments. If you’ve played volleyball at SMBV over the last three years, Hillary has scheduled your games and made it happen. Her work has touched literally every player who has walked through our doors.

Her impact goes well beyond leagues and tournament. Hillary played a major role in the design and growth of our Pro Shop and SMBV apparel line, and she was a vital part of some of the biggest things we’ve accomplished—including helping bring the George Brett 4v4 Showdown to Kansas City.

We’re incredibly thankful for the time, energy, creativity, and hard work Hillary has given SMBV over the past three years. She has left her mark on this place in more ways than we can count.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited to see her continue supporting the game we all love and pursuing her passion as an official.

Thank you for everything, Hillary. We’ll miss having you at SMBV and wish you nothing but the best in this next chapter! 🏐
