Ground Contact Absorption —> Leads to Elite Reaction.
Shock Absorption: Instead of letting bones and ligaments take the brunt of the impact, your ankles, knees, and hips act as shock absorbers by flexing (eccentric muscle contraction). This protects against chronic wear and tears.
Efficiency and Speed: Athletes who learn to quickly absorb impact rather than striking heavily (like making a loud slapping noise) can transition that energy into their next stride more explosively.
Injury Prevention: Proper absorption keeps the knees and hips properly aligned, directly preventing severe non-contact joint injuries.
From each age group, you can see the intent behind every drill. When there’s a TRUE routine & not constant change within the training regimen, they thrive off BASICS.
Young athletes who could hardly stand on one leg are bounding off of one leg. The WORQ is PROOF.
