Hawks lose Bay Conference opener to Fox Valley Lutheran Tuesday night 9-1 in Appleton. Shawano got off to a rough start Tuesday night giving up 7 runs in the first inning. It was too big of a hole to crawl out of for the Hawks. Shawano got their only run in the top of the 3rd inning when Ayden Bystol scored on a wild throw pass the third basemen. Bystol lead the Hawks at the plate going 2-3 with a double and a run scored. Grant Keszo took the loss for Shawano pitching one inning. Drew Hagedorn pitched 3 innings in relief along with TJ Johnson pitching 3 innings in relief. Shawano starts out the season 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the Bay Conference. The Hawks will be home on Thursday night to take on the Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes for the second time this week. Game time is set for 4:30pm. Shawano will close out the week at home on Friday night when they will face off against the Clippers of Sturgeon Bay in non conference action. Game time is set for 4:30pm

HI Shawano Hawk Baseball fans, here is the link to order your very own Hawks Baseball Gear. The season is fast approaching and we want to thank Bolin's for setting us up again with some great looking gear.

The boys will start pitchers and catchers week on Sunday March 15th, and the first official day of practice is Monday March 23rd. The Hawks will open up their season on Tuesday March 31st at the Green Bay Rockers stadium against Notre Dame.

The Hawks are looking forward to another great spring of baseball, and we hope you can make it out to a game and cheer us on.

The Shawano Hawks come from behind in the top of the 7th inning to keep their season alive. Shawano was down 1-0 at Fox Valley Lutheran on Thursday night heading into the last inning. The Hawks were down to their final two outs of the season when they came up with a big 3 run rally in the top of the 7th inning. Dane Hodkiewicz drove a base hit to left field to get the rally started. Salty Beyer walked to put runners on 1st and second. Jerzy Brocker had a base hit to right field to load the bases. Riley Dixon hit a sac fly to right filed to score Hodkiewicz and tied the game at one. The Foxes intentionally walked Pete Bruette to load the bases again, which brought up the Hawks four hitter Crew Wiesnicht. Crew battled out a 11 pitch at bat, and eventually got a base hit up the middle that scored Beyer and Brocker and put the Hawks up 3-1 heading to the bottom of the 7th inning. Pete Bruette closed out the game pitching a 1, 2, 3 7th inning. Bruette got the win going 1 2/3 innings in relief of Grant Keszo. Keszo pitched 4 innings in relief of starter Jerzy Brocker. Keszo gave up 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, and had 3 strikeouts. The Hawks had 5 hits on the night with Ayden Bystol and Pete Bruette having doubles. Shawano will move on to play Seymour on Tuesday night in the Regional Semifinal game. The game is at Seymour at 4:30pm. Hope to see ya at the park. GO HAWKS!!!

Hawks close out the regular season with an extra innings win at New London. The Shawano Hawks finished up their conference season Tuesday night at New London, but it took them 8 innings to do so. Shawano got on the board in the top of the 2nd inning when Crew Wiesnicht scored on a fielders choice to make it 1-0. The game remained 1-0 until the bottom of the 5th inning when New London scored on an RBI single by Logan Tenhaken. The game was scoreless in the 6th and the 7th innings. Shawano worked out of a jam in the bottom of the 7th inning. New London had runners on 2nd and 3rd but Grant Keszo pitched out of it with a couple of ground balls to give the Hawks a chance in the 8th inning. Pete Bruette lead off with an infield hit and a balk moved him to second base. Alex Zierden had a base hit to right center that scored Bruette and gave the Hawks the 2-1 lead. Dane Hodkiewicz added some insurance with a base hit to left that scored Zierden and Parker Beyer to make the score 4-1. That's all the Hawks would need as Grant Keszo would shut the door in the bottom of the 8th inning going 1, 2, 3 to retire the side of the Bulldogs. The Hawks got another great pitching performance from Ayden Bystol going 6 1/3 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits, 6 walks, and had 5 strikeouts. Grant Keszo picked up the win going 1 2/3 innings giving up 0 runs on 0 hits, 0 walks, and had 1 strikeout. Shawano had 10 hits total on Tuesday night and were lead by Jerzy Brocker, Alex Zierden, and Dane Hodkiewicz all with 2 hits in the game. The Hawks finish in 3rd place in the Bay Conference with a 11-7 record and 12-8 overall in the regular season. Shawano will open up the WIAA regionals at Fox Valley Lutheran on Thursday, game time is 4:30pm. Hope to see ya at the park. GO HAWKS!!!

The Shawano Hawks take down the 2nd ranked Thunder 3-2 Thursday night at Memorial Park. Shawano got a great pitching performance from Pete Bruette Thursday to finally slow down Seymour's offense. Bruette pitched 6 innings giving up only 3 hits and 2 runs, with 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts. Bruette kept the Thunder off balance all night and the Hawks played some great defense behind him. Jerzy Brocker got the save pitching the 7th inning going strikeout, pop out to first, and a strikeout to end the game. Shawano scored all 3 of thier runs in the second inning. Anderson Schmidt hit a double to the left center gap that scored two runs, and Jerzy Brocker had an infield hit that scored the third run. The Hawks had 7 hits and were lead by Riley Dixon who was 2-3 tonight. Shawano moves to 10-7 in Conference and 11-8 overall. The Hawks will finish up the regular season next Tuesday at New London. Game time is set for 4:30pm. Shawano will start the WIAA Tournament Series on Thursday next week as they travel to Fox Valley Lutheran. Game time is at 4:30pm. Hope to see ya at the Park. Senior night at the ball park tonight. The Shawano Hawks honored our eight Seniors. What a way to close out their high school careers. Their final home game at Memorial Park tonight and they take down the number 2 ranked team in the state Seymour Thunder 3-2. Way to go Boys. Thanks for all your hard work. GO HAWKS!!!

Saturday May 17th Shawano Baseball celebrated three different state teams in between the two games of their double header with West Depere. Pictured are the members of the 1984, 1986, and the 1994 state teams. Thank you to everyone that could make it out last Saturday. It was a fun day of catching up on some old baseball stories, and remembering the great players and coaches of these teams.
