⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The SSCS CLAY TARGET TEAMs end of season banquet and awards ceremony along with our fun shoot was held this past Friday evening. And what an evening it was!!!! 😊

~We started out with our meal catered by Bartlett’s BBQ where everyone enjoyed chicken, pork loin , Mac n cheese, Cole slaw, macaroni salad and salt potatoes. Yummm!!!!!
~Dessert was provided by Sunnycrest Bakery which we enjoyed their home made whoopie pie cookie and chocolate chip cookies. Needless to say everyone’s belly were full!

~Everyone enjoyed playing corn hole and other games along with hanging out during dinner.
We then switched to our awards ceremony where we awarded all of our team members along with some special awards. 💞

TEAM CHOICE AWARD, this award is chosen solely by the team members on a private vote where they vote for the person they feel that exemplifies what it means to be a SSCS Clay Target team member, someone who helps when needed without being asked, who always chooses to do the right thing even when no one is looking, and is an overall wonderful team mate; there was a tie this year so 2 team members were awarded with this, ⭐️⭐️⭐️AVA BISSONETTE & REED VANVALKENBURG ⭐️⭐️⭐️😊😊😊

Two of our founding coaches and board members, Steve and Tammy Tansey were recognized for their commitment the last seven seasons, as this will be their last one with us full-time. We are excited to know they will fill-in and continue when needed, but their son is one of our seniors this year so they will not be continuing full-time any longer. We will miss them tremendously as they have been a huge asset to this team from the very start.

We also recognized all 8️⃣ of our graduating seniors. 👩‍🎓 👨‍🎓 They were given some special gifts along with their senior banner signed by the entire team, that hung at the clubhouse all year.

All of these seniors have been with us for multiple seasons if not all 7 of our seasons. We will miss them tremendously but are so excited to see where they future will take them. 💞

-Coach Cori was presented with some special gifts as well from the seniors and the team members, a beautiful bird house and bird feeder along with a lovely hanging basket of flowers. 💐 🌺 💞💞

-Sprout Brook Rod and Gun Club President Dan Clancy was presented with a team plaque as we do each season since they so kindly hangs them in their clubhouse each season. Dan was also presented with a special gift from our seniors to say thank you for all his dedication and help throughout the last 3 1/2 years. 💞.

- after our awards ceremony it was time to start our fun shoot which also included GLOW IN THE DARK SHOOTING once it got dark enough.
Big thank you to Coach Adam for setting that up for the team!

As this season comes to an end, we ended in 🥈 2nd place 🥈 in our league, which we are so incredibly proud of; AND we also have 16 team members heading to states next weekend in Syracuse!

Thank you to all these kids supporters… family, friends, sponsors, and community, THANK YOU for helping this team to exist and have another fabulous season.

We are soooooo excited today is the day we celebrate this team with their awards banquet and fun shoot, for an AMAZING SPRING SEASON!

NYS is ranked 3️⃣rd in the entire nation in the number of high school clay target teams and team members!!! 3️⃣rd!!!!!!
This is incredible , 3️⃣,2️⃣0️⃣3️⃣ kids joined a high school clay target team here in NYS this spring season.
No matter what kind of push back this sport may get , look at what we have shown the entire nation?!!!

“Hanging with my fellas and shooting. I find it very enjoyable.”

Aaden!!! It has been such a pleasure watching you grow through the last 3 1/2 years on this team. You are very respectful and kind, always making sure to ask if we (coaches) need help with anything. You always made a point to welcome in the younger kids on the team when you were all in the clubhouse playing the board games, you always made them feel welcome.
You also have always had a really great attitude towards your shooting journey, each year getting better and better. Never having a bad attitude about anything , always open to suggestions from your coaches. ☺️☺️☺️ And it shows as this year has been your best season ever!!!

This week we head towards our end of year banquet and fun shoot for this coming Friday where we will celebrate all of our 27 team members for a spectacular season…..along with our top scorers and more, this will all be announced after our banquet on Friday evening.

BUT….this week also starts our NATIONAL competition sign ups for the USA highschool clay target league National Championships which are held in Michigan in July.
Team members must QUALIFY to be asked to attend nationals and the league opens sign ups at different tiers depending on the team members overall season score.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

HUGE congratulations to 11 of our team members who will have an opportunity to sign up and attend nationals if they choose to do so, this is a huge feat and each of them should be incredibly proud 😊

SPRING SEASON 2026 has come to an end. 💞☺️😃💞
Today was our teams last scoring day for this season, and thankfully the 🌧️ rain 🌧️ held off for us all morning for us to be able to have a fun filled day. We had an amazing turn out for spectators watching, thank you to all who came!!!

~our day started out with super yummy breakfast pizza, breakfast sausage bake, bagels 🥯 , English muffins, scrambled egg 🍳 bake , waffles 🧇 and more! Lunch was filled with yummy appetizer as that was the theme of the day today.
Pizza 🍕 muffin’s, Mississippi sausage dip, hot dogs 🌭 , pigs in blanket , ham & cheese sliders and so much more!!!
There was plenty to eat today and of course as always the ☕️ coffee was hot and flowing along with hot chocolate and other drinks.
Thank you to Miss Tammy and Miss Amanda as always for running the kitchen all season and feeding hundreds of hungry bellies all season!!! 💞💞

~ BIG Thank you to one of our parents, Tate Hoag, who did a presentation this morning for our team members showing them the project he had worked on the last few weeks taking every one of their scores, from each station each weekend and organizing them all into a program to show them what stations they shot best at and what ones they need to work on.
We are very grateful for you doing this, thank you Tate!

~ TOP SCORER for today and in first place 🥇, was JACKSON RYDER with 4️⃣6️⃣/5️⃣0️⃣ clays smashed today!!!
