Free lunches start tomorrow June 8th for all children 17 and under.

They will be every Mon-Fri from 11:30am-1:30pm!

Due to unforseen mechanical difficulties, the Strausser-Shroyer Memorial Pool will not open on Saturday, June 6. Opening day will be postponed until further notice. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you all soon.

Donations can be made to Amy @ the police station Mon-Fri 8am-3pm until the pool opens. After June 6th, donations can be made during pool hours!

Items to donate include -

Swimwear
Towels
Suntan lotion
Swim goggles
Deodorant
Travel size shampoo/conditioner

SHAMOKIN — The City of Shamokin will set aside a room at the Strausser-Shroyer Memorial Pool for people to donate children’s swimwear in memory of a teenage lifeguard.

It's that time of year again!!!

We are now hiring for the 2026 Swim Season!

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years old and have valid certification.

Concession workers must be at least 14 years old.

See Amy at the Shamokin Police Station for applications Mon-Fri 8am-3pm.
