HOOP 63 Hoop 63 was started out of a passion that Candace and Richard Wilkins have for teaching the game of basketball to young boys and girls.

The foundation of Hoop 63 is that fundamentals are the foundation of every great player and every great team. The founders and coaches of Hoop 63, Candace and Richard, have many years of experience coaching both boys and girls from Pre-K level all of the way up to Varsity. Candace was a standout basketball player and 3 year starter on Varsity at Coronado High School in Lubbock. After her highschoo

l career she attended Lubbock Christian University where she was a 4 year starter, National Championship Runner Up, and team captain. She then went on to be the Head Varsity Girls Coach at New Home Highschool. She now focuses her passion for basketball on coaching her daughter's LCAA and Shallowater Little Dribblers Teams. Her husband, Richard Wilkins, was a 4 year starter on Varsity , all state player for Ira Highschool and has coached AAU and Varsity Boys Basketball Teams for many years. He now focuses his time on coaching his daugther's LCAA and Shallowater Little Dribblers basketball teams. Candace and Richard have coached together for over 5 years and both believe that fundamentals is essential to every player's success. They both have a passion for teaching the game of basketball and feel that every kid should have the opportunity to learn the game right. Hoop 63 is a passion they share to bring the fundamentals of basketball to the kids of 79363 and give them the opportunity to continue their careers after high school.
