We didn’t quite make it to the winners’ circle this weekend but Awesome Fantasy finished 3rd in the first “ratings handicap” race run in Canterbury Park history and The Other One closed mightily for 2nd in a maiden special weight tonight.

Very happy to finally broken through tonight after a few near misses. Spun Not Stirred takes a $15,000 claiming Race at Canterbury Park for our double down group. Congratulations to all! Wonderful job by Mike, Mario, Constantino and the entire team.

Unfortunately, he was claimed from us, but we wish him all the best.

Well, after the scratch we were against lone speed and she controlled the race. Birdie ran okay to finish 4th. She’ll be back. Got to give her credit, she never quits.

Barn favorite Birdie Be Gone makes her first start of the season tonight for our Pony Up group Canterbury Park in the finale! Safe trip and good luck Birdie and Luis Fuentes.

First race of the year is in the books. The Other One finished 4th in her first try over the dirt at Canterbury Park. She came out of the race just fine. We’ll give her some time and head back to the turf.

Our first out with trainer Nik Goodwin will be opening night Canterbury Park with The Other One in the 3rd race, Betty Jo Williams aboard.
