First race of the year is in the books. The Other One finished 4th in her first try over the dirt at Canterbury Park. She came out of the race just fine. We’ll give her some time and head back to the turf.

Our first out with trainer Nik Goodwin will be opening night Canterbury Park with The Other One in the 3rd race, Betty Jo Williams aboard.

Good like to the Breakaway group and let’s start the meet strong!

Sarge’s Sermon got rained off the turf tonight for the Next Level Canterbury Group, but Birdie Be Gone is set to go in race 2.

Birdie Be Gone closed hard on a track that wasn’t very kind to closers today but finished 3 - just behind a couple of stakes horses and well in front of the rest of the field.

Next up: Hayes Strike at Lone Star on Thursday and Sarge’s Sermon Friday here at Canterbury.
