It’s always a tough decision to postpone games but safety will always be the call. Yesterday a swarm of bee’s hit the field and today they were still active on the field. So a decision was made to cancel today’s games. We appreciate your understanding.

Wrapping up week 2 and Reflecting on the last couple of years, it’s incredible to see how far Shafter Little League has come and all the successes we’ve shared. The growth has been amazing, but looking at the talent and heart on the field this year, I’m even more excited for what’s still to come this season.

Like a lot of sports, they can get expensive. I’d like to share Boombah.com with you all. They currently have a lot of their gear on clearance, including baseball and softball cleats for around $20 a pair. Plus bags, pants etc. I’ll continue to look for deals to share you all. Boombah.com

Registration for our Spring 2026 season is now open for the 10-12 Live Pitch Division in Baseball and Softball. (The Majors). Please sign up through the Shafter Recreation link. Remember in Softball, if your athlete turns 13 at any point in 2026, they are eligible for our league. For baseball, if they turn 13 before September 1st, they are ineligible for our league. Let get this season STARTED!!

We know, we know... Baseball age math is a little different than Softball! To keep it simple for the Majors Division, it all comes down to September 1st.
🗓️ The “Big 13” Rule:
• Still 12 on August 31st? You are ELIGIBLE to play Majors! (Even if they turn 13 later in the fall).
• Turning 13 BEFORE Sept 1st? They’ve officially graduated from the Majors division. 🎓

We know “league age” can be a total head-scratcher, so let’s make it simple:
Turning 13 this year? You’re still ELIGIBLE! 🥎
If your player celebrates their 13th birthday at any point in 2026, they are still considered 12 years old by Little League standards. They are officially cleared to play in our league this season!
