Four County Outfitters

Four County Outfitters We guide you one on one to hunt Whitetail Deer, Rio Turkey, Ferrell Hogs, Dove, and varmits.

One of the biggest advantages for hunting in our part of Texas is the fact that during drought years, our deer herd suffers very little, due to the areas wheat fields and the abundance of forage for the wildlife. Another great attribute of our ranch is location, our part of the state is a popular trophy whitetail destination. One tool that helps us is Young Land & Cattle’s personal helicopter allo

wing us to survey our herds throughout the year which keeps us informed on which feeders and food plots deer are using the most. We also use game cameras in several locations to document deer movement and feeding times. Our hunting land joins large ranches of 18,000 to 35,000 acres of brush. The large wheat fields on our property are drawing the wildlife onto the properties, so you never know what may show up on any given hunt.

Record white-wing numbers gets us pretty fired up for season, what about y’all?! For the third year in a row now, Texas Parks & Wildlife’s spring dove surveys and reporting are estimating record or near-record highs in mourning and white-winger dove numbers, including the highest estimates ever for white-wings.

The 2026 statewide estimated mourning dove population is 36.7 million, which is a 2% increase from 2025 and 29% above the long-term average. The statewide estimated white-wing population is 12.9 million, which is a 10% increase from 2025 and 25% above the long-term average. 📈📊🐦🪶

The bottom line? Dove population and habitats look promising, and a wetter-than-normal year has tanks, waterways, and agricultural fields healthier than ever. Barring any unexpected storms or heavy rainfall that could happen between now and Sept. 1, we’re expecting a great Opening Day!

We had a great opening week hunt! Lots of stories for these guys to take back to PA with them. They were very patient and waited for the older mature bucks to come out. One of them was a brute that weighed in at 200lbs!

They also took out several hogs and coyotes, and even a bobcat. Thanks yinz guys for a great time!

Don't think that we let the deer hunters have all the fun....we've been taking care of some of the hogs too!

October is over and so is our archery season! It was the best on record for us!!

All but one hunter punched their buck tag....and it's was because he sat with 10 year old Sydney until she was able to connect on her 1st Texas Buck. What a great hunt!

And what a great Archery Season 2025! A big thanks to all our clients for trusting in us to show you what Texas Hunting is all about. We'll see you all back again next year!

We have had a good start to the 2025-26 deer season. 5 archery hunters have come and gone, and all 5 have shot very nice bucks. Unfortunately the downside of archery hunting has affected our recovery rate, only producing 3 recovered bucks. But the good news is we know one of "unrecovered" is very much alive and the other we had the dogs on a track for more than 10 miles before they called it quits.

To add to our successes, we have harvested several does and hogs, and even a racoon! Hopefully, the second half of October we can finally get some cooler weather to come to help start off our rut activities. Stay tuned, we will keep y'all posted.
