Hi. I’m Phoenix, and I’ve been a studio owner nearly 13 years. We’ve renovated, we’ve expanded, we’ve added, we’ve subtracted, we’ve survived the pandemic and being closed and at 50% capacity. I’ve seen some stuff. Alas, here we are!

These are all insights that can be applied in different contexts, and I hope they’re helpful!

If you’ve been teaching a long time, owned a studio for a long or little while, or if you’re figuring it out in your career or life - I’d love to hear in the comments, what’s one thing you’d do differently if you were starting over from day 1? This is nowhere near a complete list, FYI.
