โFrom the Town of Seymour CT Police Department Parade information. Parade kicks off at 11:00 am (updated thank you).
Public Notice โ Memorial Day Parade Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Route Information
The Town of Seymour would like to provide the following important information for participants, families, and spectators attending the upcoming Memorial Day Parade.
Recommended Drop-Off Locations
โข Seymour Community Center
โข Cedar Street at Rose Street
Parade Entry for Apparatus & Floats
Any apparatus, trucks, trailers, or floats participating in the parade should enter the staging area from:
โข Cedar Street at Derby Avenue, or
โข Route 8 and Derby Avenue
Event Parking Locations
โข Seymour Community Center
โข Trestle Parking Lot on the corner of Main Street and Broad Street
โข River Street
โข Main Street
โข (Handicapped Parking) To the left of the Train Station, Trestle Parking Lot and Community Center.
*Note* Parking on private property is prohibited and vehicles will be towed at the owners expense.
Recommended Viewing Locations
The band stand will be located at the Broad Street Park near the gazebo. Recommended viewing locations include Main Street from Bank Street to Broad Street. The Broad Street Bridge, Community Center, Broad Street Park and Derby Avenue from Broad Street to Rose Street.
End of Parade & Pick-Up Information
At the conclusion of the parade, all floats and apparatus will exit the parade route from Main Street at Route 67.
All marching participants will proceed down Bank Street to the recommended pick-up locations listed below:
โข Strand Parking Lot
โข Fish Ladder
โข Town Hall
โข Citizens Fire Department
โข Seymour Ambulance Association
Please follow all traffic directions and instructions from police officers and parade staff to help ensure a safe and organized event for everyone.
