🏀Only 4 weeks until camp!🏀 This was me in Middle School during one of the weeks I did not have camp. Great shot, but I gave my Mom a heart attack when she got home from work and saw the screens removed and me on the roof. Send me a video in messenger of your kid passionate about basketball and we will choose a winner on July 1st to attend camp for free. Please feel free to share! Trust me, by July 24th your screens will be out too! -Zak

🏀 Meet My Mentor and My Basketball Camp Coach:

Derrick Lewis played high school basketball at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C., where he was a McDonald's All-American as a senior in 1984. He then played with the UMD Terrapins for four years. He was the program's all-time leader in blocks and ranks third in rebounds. He was drafted in the third round by the Chicago Bulls in the 1988 NBA draft and in 1989 he moved to France where he played pro for 15 seasons.

These stats are impressive, however most inspiring is the work he does to teach young kids the joy of basketball. As a kid, I could not wait for his camp! And later, I was fortunate to be a camp counselor at the same camp that fueled my passion for basketball. Now, I am hosting my own weeklong basketball camp at Severna Park Community Center, July 25-29. Thank you, Derrick Lewis, for being my mentor and special camp guest! 🏀
