Something new is happening at MY Fitness tonight.

Introducing Tuesday Remix, a rotating specialty class every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. New format each week, same coaches, same community, just a little more variety to keep things fresh and keep you challenged.

We are kicking things off tonight with Week 1: Core & Control. Strength and stability work that builds power from the ground up. All levels welcome.

Come see what Tuesday nights look like around here now. We will see you at 6:30. πŸ’™

Consider this your official permission to do absolutely nothing this Monday. 😴

MY Fitness will be closed September 7th for Labor Day. Rest up, recharge, and maybe put some cucumbers on your eyes β€” you have earned it.

We will see you back on Tuesday ready to work. πŸ’™

Here is something I have seen every September for years. The schedule comes back and suddenly people are more consistent at the gym than they were all summer.

It is not a coincidence.

Consistency in training is not about motivation. It is about structure. When your day has a predictable rhythm, it is much easier to find a reliable slot for your workout and actually stick to it.

The most effective thing you can do right now is attach your workout to something that is already happening in your day. Right after drop off. On your lunch break. Before dinner when the house quiets down. You are not finding extra time β€” you are borrowing from a routine that already exists.

Fall is not just back to school season. It is back to you season. Use the structure. πŸ’™

There is no faking the sled.

It does not care about your energy level, your mood, or how your day went. You push it and it pushes back. Every single time.

That is actually what we love about it. It is honest work. And the people who show up and do it anyway? That is who MY Fitness is built for. πŸ’™

One of the most common questions I get is some version of "how do I know when it's time to go heavier?"

Most people either stay at the same weight forever because it feels safe, or they jump up too fast and compromise their form. There is a better way.

Here is a simple rule I use: if you can complete all of your reps with good form and the last two feel almost easy, it is time to add a little weight. If you are grinding through every rep or your form is breaking down before you finish, stay where you are and own it first.

Progress is not about adding weight every single week. It is about adding weight at the right time, for the right reasons, in a way your body is actually ready for.

Trust the process. Your body will tell you when it is ready. πŸ’™

First day of school. Just like that, the rhythm of summer shifts.

For some of you it has been a season of chaos, schedule juggling, and counting down to today. For others it marks the end of something you were not quite ready to let go of yet.

Either way, a new chapter starts today. The schedule changes. The routine resets. And with that comes a little space to think about what you want this next season to look like for you.

Celebrating or wishing you had one more week of summer? Either way, we will see you in class. πŸ’™

The wall sit. Simple in concept. Humbling in practice.

Nobody's favorite exercise. Everybody's best teacher. It does not care how fit you are, how long you have been training, or how confident you walked in. It just asks one thing: can you hold on a little longer?

The answer, by the way, is always yes. πŸ’™

The deadlift is one of the most powerful exercises you can do. It works your entire posterior chain, builds real functional strength, and when done correctly it is one of the safest lifts in the gym.

The key word there is correctly.

Watch this and pay attention to the setup. Where your feet are, how you hinge, where the bar stays relative to your body. Small details that make a big difference in how much you get out of the movement and how long you stay injury free.

Try it in your next class and let us know how it feels. πŸ’™

There is a shift happening and I love it.

People are giving themselves permission to be "mostly." Mostly consistent. Mostly active. Mostly making good choices. And they are realizing that mostly is actually enough to change their lives.

Maybe you missed a class this week. Maybe you modified an exercise you could do last month. Maybe you did fewer reps than last time or did not hit a personal record. Maybe it was just a hard day and you gave 60% instead of 100%.
That still counts. All of it.

The members I have seen transform the most are not the ones doing everything perfectly. They are the ones who show up on the hard days, scale back when they need to, and keep coming back anyway. Progress is not always a straight line and it is not always a personal record.

Stop chasing perfect. Start chasing consistent. πŸ’™
