Seneca Parents!
Illinois Valley Wrestling Club is proudly entering its second season of youth wrestling and we would like to extend an invitation to boys and girls, ages 4-14, to come try out the great sport of wrestling! There is no better way to burn off some energy, gain strength, and develop discipline than on the mats.
Last year we welcomed almost 30 kids from Seneca and area schools for our first season and so far we have already EXCEEDED those registration numbers!
This little town has a ton of success in the sport, with many state medals and dozens of athletes qualifying for their respective state tournaments in the past 5 years. We are looking to continue to grow and continue to dominate on the mats.
And wrestling isn't just for boys these days. Besides the success at the high school level, we had 2 young ladies compete at the state tournament last year, including our first state medalist in club history! To date we have over a dozen young ladies signed up for this upcoming season!!!
Registration will be attached via a Google document. Please feel free to message me here with any questions or give Head Coach Gavin Kurtz a call or text at 815-503-0484. Cost is just $100 per family for the season.......whether you have 1 kid or 37, it is a flat rate of $100 per household. There will be a mandatory parent meeting after the first practice, October 19th, in the SHS wrestling room.
Come give the worlds oldest, and current fastest growing, sport a try!
2026-2027 Fall and Winter Season Registration Boys and Girls ages 4-14 are encouraged to and welcome to come and give the sport of wrestling a try this upcoming fall and winter. We will show your wrestler the basics of the great sport of wrestling in a fun and safe environment. START DATE: October 1...
