We’re wrapping up an incredible run at the VEX Robotics World Championship, and these teams gave us a lot to be proud of.

Colorguard (Elementary School)
-29th place – Engineering Division
-Average Score: 231 pts
-Skills Score: 90 (270th out of 417 teams)

American 50/50 (Middle School)
-76th place – Design Division
-Average Score: 156 pts
-Skills Score: 64 (323rd out of 413 teams)

Keep in mind there are 20,000+ VEX IQ teams worldwide. Just to be here, is an amazing achievement. Only 5% of teams get the chance to compete at this level.

What those numbers don’t fully show is the growth. Just a month ago; at the Western, PA State Championship, both teams were scoring 60+ points lower. They stayed locked in all month, refining their designs, improving their strategy, tightening up their code, and learning how to better collaborate with their alliance partners match after match.

They didn’t back down when things got tough. They adjusted, improved, and finished strong.
Now they get to enjoy the finals and awards ceremony; but honestly, they’re already looking ahead. Colorguard is hyped to find out what next season's game is going to be. American 50/50 has already purchased next year’s game pieces (out of their own pockets) and started planning for “Override” and their transition into V5RC and high school robotics. That tells you everything you need to know about these team's commitment.

This wasn’t the end of a season—it was the start of what’s next.

Our Elementary team, Colorguard, is having a strong showing at the World Championship! After their first 8 matches, they’re averaging an impressive 249.5 points per match. They’ve been executing their strategy effectively and doing a great job collaborating with their alliance partners, which has really paid off on the field. We’re excited to see them keep the momentum going as the competition continues!

Quick World Championship Update for American 50/50!

The team is putting in a ton of work and after 7 of their 10 qualification matches, they’re averaging 158 points per match and are ranked in the middle for skills. While they’ve faced some challenges with robot performance, the team has stayed focused—continuing to adjust, improve their design, and sharpen their strategy with each match. They’ll be back at it tomorrow with three more matches, a few for skills runs, and hopefully a bunch more friends made!
