Carolina Drive Softball

Carolina Drive Softball Carolina Drive is a High School showcase team for girls wishing to pursue softball in college.

Carolina Drive is based in Seneca, SC and is head coached by Scott Butts. Assistant coaches are Mike Jones, Kevin Braner, and Siara Shelton. This team of coaches has many combined years of coaching and playing experience, with a true focus on player development. Scott currently provides individual and group instruction on hitting, defensive form and techniques. Mike is a former assistant coach at

an upstate high school with years of travel ball coaching experience, Kevin has coached travel softball and worked with multiple age groups, and Siara played college softball at Limestone and joins us after having coached a couple of years of college softball at USC-Salkehatchie. The Carolina Drive was formed to take some of the hardest working high school players in our area and help them achieve their goals of playing at the next level by participating in showcase tournaments. The goal of which is to be offered to play at the collegiate level. Follow us for player information and to keep up with our upcoming tournaments!

Finished Summer26 strong in the Last Chance Showcase at Tyger River. We really enjoyed soaking up every moment with our 4 young ladies leaving for school(really missed Molly). As graduating Seniors they're allowed to pick and play a position they don't usually play, so that was fun and entertaining to watch! Very thankful for the time and energy they've put into this program and guiding the ones coming up after. Thank you again, Abi, Anna, Holli, Marley, and Molly!

The 5th Annual Drive Day celebrated our 5 Seniors on their signing to continue their softball careers at the next level, and the 1 player that has aged out and will never play for The Drive again. Our 5 Seniors are:

Abi Blackwell- Spartanburg Methodist College
Anna Blackwell- Spartanburg Methodist College
Molly Dawson- Catawba Valley CC
Holli Gaffin- USC Sumter
Marley Lance- Cleveland CC

Thank you to our returning college player Olivia Gray (Belmont Abbey) for returning to play your final season. Returning to mentor the younger players and keeping The Carolina Drive recruiting successes rolling is priceless. Words cannot express our appreciation!

Fun weekend of softball at the Backwards K in Newberry, FL. Played against some good FL teams and finished 2-2-2. Seemed like we were always 1 out away from finishing better, but couldn't turn the corner and finish. Proud of the fight in the Drive ladies! We got 6 games better, though, and will finish Summer26 at The Last Chance Showcase in Tyger River on August 1-2.
