It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. SYAA has lost a member of our family!

David George Dreslin III passed away on March 22nd at the age of 39.

Many of you have heard David’s name around the complex over the years as our Referee Assigner for the past decade, but David’s soccer journey with SYAA began long before that. He started as a player here at SYAA, went on to become a soccer referee, and eventually became our Referee Assigner. David also served as the assigner for several other clubs throughout Pinellas County. So, if you have been part of youth soccer in Pinellas County in the past decade chances are there was a ref at the field because of him. So his passing will have a tremendous impact on youth soccer in our area — including recreational, competitive, and even high school soccer.

David is survived by his two children, David (15) and Raegyn (6).
