Tripp Firm Racing took advantage of the beautiful spring weather tonight and took the Tripp Firm Racing GTR out to Bradenton Motorsports Park for Test and Tune. With making no changes other than tire pressure, the car set a new personal best of 8.622 @ 161.43! Remember, keep racing on the track!

The long wait is over. The Tripp Firm Racing GTR made it out to Bradenton Motorsports Park for some testing after undergoing modifications the last few months. In less-than-ideal conditions, we still managed to run a 9.26 @ 149. The goal for the build is an 8.99 or better, and that goal still looks very achievable in the next few months in cooler temperatures with other things sorted out.

This weekend, the Tripp Firm Racing GT-R went 9.999 @ 135.97 still on the stock turbos, transmission and engine. Only a handful of GT-Rs around the world have made it into the 9s in the quarter mile while still using the stock turbos. We will be posting video of the 9 second pass next. Our goal is to break into the 8s in 2014 using a modified stock frame turbocharger while maintaining overall streetability, a feat only accomplished by one other GT-R to date and something that would have been scoffed at just years ago. Stay tuned for updates on the build set to begin very soon! Until then, a complete modifications list is below, and remember, Keep Racing on the Track!

We got a little "off track" once or twice at Sebring while exploring the limits of the GTR's Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The amazing photographers from Colour Tech South were in the right place at the right time and captured a couple of awesome shots. More photos to come, but here is a teaser! A raccoon on SR64 tried to stop us from getting here, but we made it (with only minor front lip damage) to the world famous Sebring International Raceway to enjoy the weekend with Chin Motorsports.

We hope to see everyone at the Festivals of Speed tomorrow from 10-4 at Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg. We will have our tent setup right at the 5th Ave NE entrance. We also have three of our race vehicles on display, our GTR Black Edition, our Z06 Corvette and our GMBMW!
