Godfather Pitching Screens

Godfather Pitching Screens Godfather Pitching Screens are similar to "L" screens, without the "L". It is a pitching screen designed for SAFETY. It was designed for ease of use!

Down to my final 4 pitching screens before I call it quits. They remain $349.00 and if shipping is required- you pay the exact cost to ship.

Thanks for the support over the years, but with the rising price of aluminum, I would have to sell any future screens for $450 just to break even. Many of the current pitching screen owners have told me I should have been selling them for $500 already as they are well worth the price. These screens LAST a long time, especially if you take care of them.

I am selling off my final 12 Pitching screens. I put 6 on eBay today. The price is $350 per screen as the cost of Aluminum has skyrocketed. If I were to order/manufacture any more- they would cost me over $425 to make. I can't sell them if my cost is that high. I'll be honest here, at $350, my profit margin is roughly $40.00. I didn't start this venture to make money. It was purely about the safety to baseball and softball after losing 2 friends (pitching at the time), both struck in the head by a batted softball.

If you are Military, Fire or LEO, I will sell for $325 per screen. I am retired LEO and I have a world of respect for Military, Fire and Police. Where would this country be without them?

Shipping around the US varies from $20 in FL, to $40 to NY or CA. I know this because I have shipped quite a few over the past year.

Like the McDonalds sign: "Over 400 sold". Thanks for your business.

With everyone starting to play ball again (thanks a lot Covid!), sales has picked back up! I have 30 screens remaining from my recent batch of 42. 8 of the 30 have been reserved by FHC and ProAm but will not be actually purchased until January. But if they sell before then, it is what it is. Price is, and will remain at, $350 for 2021!

We are staying with the thicker aluminum and NO paint. The cost trade off balanced the cost of the screens so prices remain the same as the past few years. People have actually commented they like the bare aluminum better as the rings that hold the net tend to wear off the powder coating quickly and it starts to look like crap quickly.

I had knee replacement surgery in March and have been neglecting getting on Facebook to check messages. I apologize for the inconvenience!

FYI- I just recently got a batch of 42 screens in. There are roughly 36 remaining. COVID19 has slowed everything down!

Thanks-
Tim

New batch of 2020 pitching screens should be available by the end of January! They will have a few minor upgrades but the price will remains at $350!!

The 2019 models were a hit! Feedback was almost 100% positive.

To the Leagues interested in purchasing screens: please inquire about the multi-screen discount for purchase if 4 or more screens.

Please note: I took down the website as it was costing more than it was worth. I can be reached at [email protected]

Due to the tariffs on aluminum, the current screens are selling for $349 plus shipping. Shipping rates vary between $25 and $45 depending on your location in the US.

We are hoping that the tariffs are going to be lifted soon but price will remain the same as new screens will be made of a stronger grade of aluminum.

New batch has arrived! Already sold 27 of the 42! They are much stronger than original ones!

Craig Lisa and Tim "the Godfather" Grundmann began creating safer pitching screens for softball and baseball. They work well for Slow Pitch Softball, Fast Pitch Softball and Baseball.

Made out of solid, sturdy aluminum (except the net, wheels and screws/nuts/washers- which are all stainless steel or nylon (washers)), these screens are lightweight (25lbs), easy to maneuver (handle on one end and wheels on the other), and very, very durable. Pick up the screen by the handle and you are lifting approx. 7 lbs.

We took an old design and added more safety and features to it. It is 6'6" tall (because 6' isn't tall enough, and 40" wide. We use 60 # netting which is thicker/stronger than the old nets. (MLB uses 42 # netting behind home plate.)

We have been using prototypes for 2+ years and they have held up very well. Guys like Ryan Harvey, Bob Woldyk, Jack Aronson and many other POWER hitters that have absolutely drilled the nets and poles. Some of the poles have slight bends in them after 2 years of being smacked. When I say bent- it is a very slight bend, but they have not failed us. I just bend them back straight.

The screen cannot be knocked over by a batted ball. It hasn't happened yet (that we know about) and the power hitters mentioned above have tried!

Please visit our website at http://www.Godfatherscreens.net for more photos and videos of the product. Currently- the website is up and running, but the ordering part has not been connected properly. We are working on it, but Hurricane Irma has given us a week setback w/o power. Email us at [email protected] for ordering.

SALES: The basic screen assembly will be sold for $295.00 plus shipping and FL Sales Tax (if shipped to FL). Currently, we have a few refurbished screens that we are willing to part with for $200.00 (+ applicable shipping and tax). They are in "Like New" condition. These were also well used prototypes but have new paint, straight poles, new nets and new washers and/or wheels as needed. The wheels are basically indestructible. The refurbished nets are already built and have 42 # netting. They were already assembled prior to our decision to go to the heavier net. We fully expect the all of the nets to last for years, but if left outside- the elements may take their toll on the nets. That is why we also will sell replacement nets for $50.00 (plus shipping and tax).

This could very well be the last pitching screen you ever buy.

We fully expect to add to our product list a larger version of the screen, but with a "Sock" in the center for hitting off of a tee. The sock catches the balls and drops them down at the bottom. We are currently testing that prototype. It is the same construction as the Pitching Screen, only wider. It, too, can be used as a pitching screen!

This is a Setup Manual, step by step. As you can see, there are actually only 5 steps to the Godfather Screen setup.
