We had a successful Richard Olson Memorial 200 weekend. With a full field of 24 cars! We started off with qualifying and young driver Ethan Parks set fast time and a new track record with a 17.5 second lap. Cary Cooper and Karl Buchanan split the dashes. Heat races began with starting position in the main event on the line the 1st of 2 went to Buck Noel Jr. After a strong run Karl Buchanan gets his 2nd trophy of the night winning heat race #2. But with his 5th place finish in heat 2 Buck Noel Jr came out with the best average finish which put his car on the pole. Pam Dexter and Chance Dexter both had strong runs in each heat and started 2nd and 3rd in the main and Karl Buchanan got the 4th spot. With a big bonus on the line all the top 4 chose to go to the back which put Scott Parks and Mike Dexter on the front row. Saturday began the Richard Olson Memorial 200! It was very eventful full of short runs. Few of the big ones was wrecks by Chris Marang, Cody Denton, Buck Noel Jr, Eric Backen, Karl Buchanan and worst of all Bob Dexter. I'm happy to report everyone is ok. Someone who was not involved in anything was eventual winner Papa Dexter who shot passed Josh Bower at the start finish line and Josh ran out of fuel. 3rd place was Cary Cooper, 4th was Kim Cooper and 5th was Cody Denton. Thank you all for coming! See you at our next event!!
