Meet Alicia & Robyn 👯‍♀️, two of Studio Sway’s most advanced students showing up bright and early for every 6am Reformer Class, putting in the work! 🪩

What you’re watching is Classical Pilates Standing Front Splits, and yes… it’s exactly as advanced as it looks.

This move demands serious hamstring flexibility, hip flexor mobility, core stability, AND balance all at the same time.

But the benefits are SO worth the work it takes to get here. 👇
✨ Lengthens & stretches the hamstrings and hip flexors, which are two of the tightest muscle groups in the body
✨ Improves posture by opening up the hips and releasing tension in the lower back
✨ Builds single leg stability and strengthens the standing leg from the ankle all the way up
✨ Challenges your core in a completely different way than floor work. Your deep stabilizers have to work overtime to keep you upright and controlled
✨ Increases body awareness and mind muscle connection, which carries over into everything else we do in the studio

These two make it look effortless but trust me, this was EARNED through consistency, discipline and as simple as it sounds, “just showing up”!
