Due to lack of knowledge, most folks would have to enter a kneeling position and unnecessarily expose themselves to get into a basic shooting position off the end of the bumper.

Or, you could remain completely behind cover, alter your profile as low as it can get and shoot from a stable Haji Prone position. Once you learn this position and others, and become familiar with them, you will realize you always have a fighting chance….if you know what to do!

Let’s do it in training so we know how to do it when it counts.

You're invited: Handheld Low Light Pistol Course

This low light pistol course will begin in the classroom with training on various ambient light environments, low light situations, statistics related to diminished light shootings, impacts to vision and accuracy and neuro pathway disruptions to the shooter in low light situations. Next, we will cover the 5 common handheld light techniques, the situations they should be deployed, and weapon mounted light operations.

Students will participate in group and individual shooting drills and individual assessment with direct interaction and training with an instructor. We will focus on proper utilization of the handheld light while performing reloads, malfunction clearing with speed and accuracy drills.

If you carry a handheld light, you MUST be familiar with strong hand only shooting, shooting with a light tube in your grip and shooting in unconventional positions with light distortion. Step out of your comfort zone, push your training standards, compete with yourself and against other shooters.

All attendees need a:
Semi-automatic handgun
IWB, AIWB or OWB holster designed for that weapon
3 magazines
double magazine pouch
belt, associated gear
Handheld Light
Rail Mounted
Batteries for the handheld light and rail mounted light
Eye and ear protection
350 rounds ammo
We will be shooting steel so you MUST have side shields on your eye protection. It is recommended you bring clear eye protection for the night shoot.

Participation in training requires exercises and tests of physical agility, physical excursion, rapid heart rate, unconventional shooting positions in which the attendee assumes full responsibility for his/her own safety and improper weapons handling skills.

All attendees MUST acknowledge the Release of Liability Waiver and Safety Brief prior to registering and paying.

You have waited all year to get in low light work. If you have NVG’s and zeroed IR laser, bring it.

We will be working close range critical carbine skills, entry and movement techniques, dealing with hostage situations under low light and much more.

Ladies Open Range Day | Pistol Fundamentals II

This is a defensive pistol training event focusing on defensive skills in the home, workplace and urban environment. This class will focus on defensive skills in the home, workplace and urban environment. The course will teach the principles of close confined space defensive skills, shooting skills in the home, room entry skills, room clearing, room search, target identification, situation assessment and shoot don't shoot scenarios. 2-hours of the class will be on the shooting range and will end with 2-hours in the shoot house.

This is an 8-hour Pistol FAST Red Dot Sight [RDS] course focusing on advanced pistol skills. This course will confirm the RDS zero, review practical skills at various distances with established zero . Attendees will take an initial baseline assessment across 8 shooting drills and then complete various supporting drills seeking to improve individual performance, draw stroke speeds, presentation efficiency, trigger manipulation and accuracy.

We will review tracking the red dot drills, managing recoil, improving split times and trigger control while maintaining accuracy. Upon completion of the course, students will take a final FAST assessment and receive new baseline times to build upon.
