“My Child Wants To Quit. What Should I Do?”

First ☝️, Find Out Why.

There's a big difference between an activity genuinely not being the right fit and a child wanting to quit because they had one difficult day.

Ask what happened. 🤔

Was something hard? Did they feel embarrassed? Are they frustrated with their progress? Did something happen with another student?

Sometimes kids need permission to move on.

Other times, they need someone to help them get through the uncomfortable part that comes before growth.

You don't always have to have the answer right away.

Sometimes the best place to start is simply: “Tell me why.”

One may love competition. Another needs encouragement. One jumps right in while the other likes to watch first.

Same family. Completely different kids.

That's why progress shouldn't be measured by how quickly a sibling got there first.

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow at their own pace.
