⚠️ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS & FAMILIES!⚠️

Due to the Seekonk Schools stating that there is currently a major water main break at the local elementary school, no one is allowed to be in the building. As such, we are going to still have all of the graduations at their regular times, but they will now be here at Rocky Silva's American Karate. (No longer at George Martin Elem. School).

Space will be a little more limited due to the last-minute change, so we thank families for their flexibility and patience.🙏 We look forward to seeing all of our graduates today, Saturday, October 25th, here at RSAK!

BBT1, BBT2, XMA - 11:00 am (please do not arrive earlier than 15 min prior - Please bring your current weapon from stripe test this week if applicable, no sparring gear/bags needed.)

If your child is scheduled to graduate and they earned their final stripe during Stripe Test week, they are invited to join us for Belt Graduation today, Saturday morning February 1st, at the George Martin Elementary School in Seekonk (only a short distance from the studio). You and your family are all invited to attend and support your graduate. Below is the schedule for graduations this morning:

GRADUATION SCHEDULE (students should be in uniform, wearing their current belts)

Little Champions & Basic Training - 9:30am (please do not arrive earlier than 15 min prior)

BBT1, BBT2, XMA - 11:00am (please do not arrive earlier than 15 min prior; be sure to bring any weapons from your current rotation for BBT1 & BBT2)

In honor of Veteran's Day, today 11/11, there will be no classes. RSAK will be closed today and will reopen for all normally scheduled classes tomorrow, Tuesday, November 12th.

We want to thank all of our Veterans who served our country both past and present. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

We are very excited for today's graduations at George R. Martin Elementary School! The students have worked so hard over the past weeks and we look forward to celebrating with everyone. Students should attend the graduation ceremony for the belt that they currently have from stripe test this week. See you all soon! 🥋

Happy Labor Day! RSAK will reopen tomorrow, September 3rd for all normally scheduled classes. We hope the end of summer and start to the school year have been going great. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the mats!

Below is a quick video on how to give your presentation if competing in any forms divisions at the upcoming tournament here at RSAK on July 27th. Students in XMA are the only exceptions; having their own presentation which differs from that in the video.

Students must attend at least 1 of the 2 practice sessions on 7/19 or 7/26 to be eligible to compete on 7/27.

Students walk up to the 3 judges and recite the following while standing in a focus stance, rest position, or lock-in position:
1.) MY NAME IS __________
2.) MY FORM IS __________
3.) MAY I BEGIN?

Student Forms are named below as a reference for when they say "My Form Is...."
- Little Champions (INTENSITY AND SPEED)
- Basic Training (Universal 1)
- BBT1 (Universal 3)
- BBT2 (Universal 7)
- Jr. Blacks & Adults have different forms so please check with an instructor as to what your current pattern/form is called.
