January is traditionally a Memorial Shoot in memory of past members. We were blessed with a bright sunny day despite a frosty start. Some great pulled pork grub help keep us warm around the wood stove while Thumper (pres) shared memories of past members and displayed some of the guns they owned. Following a cannon blast and group photo, members were invited to shoot the guns of past members. Rich Miller took first place in the shoot because he used the same gun for the past 5 yrs which he has all figured out (not again next yr). As always keep each other in your hearts and prayers.

Overload hosted the November shoot with a bunch of pumpkins. The rain stayed off us and we had pretty good time. After the shoot, he passed out a bunch of turkeys, hams and and game hens to all the winners with plenty to go around for all.

Next month's shoot will be hosted by our President on Saturday, Dec 20., 2025.

Back on August 8-10. various members of IMM, Skagit Muzzle Loaders and other notables of the NW gathered at Greene's Gun Shop for Greene's Annual Rendezvous. The public was invited to stop in and see what its all about. Andy remained pretty busy with pilgrims presenting his museum pieces and introducing the public to the event. Greg and his support team have done a great job developing this piece of property for these events and we are thankful for them putting it on. Packrat successfully served his final term as Booshway, so he says. A few pics are provided below for your entertainment.

Jan 18th, 2025, what a nice day for the meeting and Memorial Shoot. It was cold and clear, but we had a nice fire going in the shelter! This was one of the best Memorial Shoots in a long time, members shot just about all of the passed members gun's and they worked without many troubles. Thanks to all who attended. This is one of our most important gatherings. The shoot started with a cannon salute. Then we shot past members guns, told stories about them... some are even true! I believe this keeps us connected with our roots and even though you may not have met them I hope you get a glimpse of who they were. Thumper did a great job leading the ceremonies. Sky Shooter ran a great shoot. Two balls and Sourdough made all the fixins! Thanks to all who worked and all who participated. As always, keep each other in your hearts and prayers. Keep yer nose in the wind and yer eyes along the skyline.

Well, another President's shoot on the books! I want to thank Sky Shooter for running the shoot, as always he did a first rate job! Also have to thank the Director for bringing the chicken lunch,. All shooters won bacon! Thanks to all who attended and made it a fun time! I am looking forward to next month as that is the Memorial shoot where we celebrate our members who have gone to the great counsel fire. (Photo: 2024 Memorial Shoot). Remember to keep each other in your hearts and prayers. Have a very Merry Christmas!

We have been attempting to maintain a decent 3-D archery range. A few of our old critters are pretty well shot up at this point . I am reaching out here to see if any one has a 3D archery target they would care to donate. If so, please email [email protected] with you contact and target info. Thanks

SUBMITTED:
Dear Sedro Woolley,
I broke down going to your town to visit a friend. I was on Hwy 20 for only a few minutes when a beat-up truck pulled up behind me. The driver called out from the passenger side window, asking what was wrong. I told him it was overheated, and he rummaged around and pulled some water jugs from behind his seat. He set the jugs outside his vehicle, then came out after them. When he started towards me on his knees, lower legs trailing behind him, I burst into tears. He put water in the reserve, and it shot out around the thermostat. By this time, the friend I was visiting had come for me. He pointed out the thermostat, and she went to get the part. He went home and got tools, came back and removed the cracked thermostat, and replaced it all before my husband could get there from Arlington.
I hope you know you have a treasure!
(No one else stopped, one guy yelled at us as he drove past, another asked out his window if we needed help just as we were closing the hood) I then turned around and drove safely home with no issue.
Next time you see Cody, know that he literally helps stranded strangers even though he is physically disabled!
