Kathy ran across this and remembered this young man from our rendezvous. I think those that know him will enjoy reading this. Two Holes.
SUBMITTED:
Dear Sedro Woolley,
I broke down going to your town to visit a friend. I was on Hwy 20 for only a few minutes when a beat-up truck pulled up behind me. The driver called out from the passenger side window, asking what was wrong. I told him it was overheated, and he rummaged around and pulled some water jugs from behind his seat. He set the jugs outside his vehicle, then came out after them. When he started towards me on his knees, lower legs trailing behind him, I burst into tears. He put water in the reserve, and it shot out around the thermostat. By this time, the friend I was visiting had come for me. He pointed out the thermostat, and she went to get the part. He went home and got tools, came back and removed the cracked thermostat, and replaced it all before my husband could get there from Arlington.
I hope you know you have a treasure!
(No one else stopped, one guy yelled at us as he drove past, another asked out his window if we needed help just as we were closing the hood) I then turned around and drove safely home with no issue.
Next time you see Cody, know that he literally helps stranded strangers even though he is physically disabled!
