We urge you to sign and share this petition, encouraging the Department of Interior to resume and continue the Glen Canyon Dam water mixing and cooling program, essential for preserving the Lees Ferry Trout fishery. The petition deadline for submission is Tuesday, 7/14.

Time is of the essence. The river water temperatures increased the past 2 weeks from 60 to 67 degrees. Unless something is done soon the water is projected to reach 75 degrees and the trout will not survive.

At the beginner/novice stage, there's nowhere better to practice than on the creek. Allow yourself to be humbled and allow yourself to be patient and present. 🎣

📢 Reminder. It's that time of year on many creeks and rivers that our fish create their beds to spawn. We have lots of new fly fishing enthusiasts every year and it's our job to inspire and guide the way to keep our fisheries healthy for the future.
If you see areas where the rocks seem swept nice and clean of sediment, step around them or avoid them completely. These areas are also known as Redds. As tempting as it is to cast at these fish, let them do their thing. Big fish can help spawn big fish and that's how we like em. 🎣
