A year ago, when I signed the lease for Petal, I didn’t even have a name for the studio. My town didn’t have a studio, and I was bored.

And somehow, in the space of a year, that little idea has grown into something that feels much more personal than a studio. Inevitably (well, because I’m me, duh), I began to build a brand.

So much has been happening, so quickly. Sitting down for my interview with Hamptons.com gave me a pause.

Their questions made me slow down and put words to thoughts that had mostly been living somewhere in the back of my mind. It was pleasant to reflect on where Petal came from, what it means to me now, and what I imagine it could become.

The truth is, I still don’t really know where it’s going🤷🏼‍♀️

I never rlly did🤪

And maybe that’s the most exciting part💃

I’m learning to let the vision evolve as I do—to follow the ideas that excite me, make room for the unexpected, and trust that every new chapter will reveal a little more of what Petal is meant to be.

For now, I’m just grateful to be building something that gives my creativity and passion somewhere to go.

And even more excited to see where it goes next.🤩
