🌊 We're Hiring! 🛶

Over the past two years, we've been building something bigger than a kayak rental business.

We've been creating opportunities for people to connect with the outdoors, experience the Mahoning River Watershed, and discover the incredible natural resources in their own backyard.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone to join our team and help support our Water to Trail activities.

This position will assist with:
✅ Kayak, canoe, and paddleboard programs
✅ Guided trips and community events
✅ Equipment preparation and maintenance
✅ Participant support and river stewardship initiatives

🌟 Instructor certification opportunities are available for the right candidate.

We are specifically looking for someone who lives within the Mahoning River Watershed and shares our passion for outdoor recreation, conservation, and community engagement.

📍 Position Type:
• Part-Time / As-Needed
• Primarily weekends, special events, and scheduled programs
• Opportunity for increased hours as the organization grows
•Our goal is to develop these positions into full-time opportunities as Buckeye Water to Trail Adventures continues to expand throughout the watershed

Compensation:
💲 Starting at $15/hour with opportunities for higher pay based on paddling experience, certifications, leadership ability, and program responsibilities.

🛶 Some paddling or trail guide experience is preferred. Customer service, outdoor recreation, education, conservation, or event experience is a plus.

Riverfest 2026

🤠 We are truly thankful for the days we get to get out into the communities along the Mahoning River and share our love of paddlesports!

✅️ Today, we had the pleasure of helping 43 participants experience the water in a variety of different ways.

🔥 Why is this so awesome?
Because we believe that when people develop a genuine appreciation for a place, they become invested in making it better.

When people get out on the river and experience it for themselves, they gain a deeper understanding of the natural world around them, and a stronger connection to their community. 🚣‍♂️🛶

Every paddler, every trip, and every new experience helps build the next generation of river stewards.
