When you’re bulking do you mentally prepare for your body to change?

For some the change can be shocking.
Your shredded core, arms, legs start to look more full and fluffy.
For me I enjoy watching my legs grow. I’ve always struggled with my quads. I would spend hours in the gym, but what it really came down to was my nutrition.

CARBS ARE NOT BAD.
Whole Foods = Healthy Carbs!

KETO = BU****IT.
Taken by a influencer and turned into profit.

Keto was developed by medical professionals to treat hard to control epilepsy. Decrease brain stimulation, decrease seizures.

You get the idea. Stop following everyone else and educate yourself for your body.

Used globally to define someone’s physical or mental capability.

One misconception I run into frequently at the gym is the overall appearance of strength.

Someone may be able to lift a 80lb dumbbell (incorrectly) , but what if you implement the proper form,technique and muscle engagement. Are they still able to lift that 80lb dumbbell?

The majority of those using other muscle groups to distribute that weight and not targeted muscle groups could no longer lift 80lbs. In-fact I have witnessed a decrease in over half of the original weight lifted incorrectly.

The amount of weight in the gym doesn’t define your strength, unless you utilize proper form,technique and muscle engagement.

Remember this the next time you feel discouraged because someone is lifting heavier than you. Are they really lifting heavier ? Or are they compensating elsewhere in order to follow through with that weight.

Mind to Muscle connection is crucial when lifting.If you’re looking for optimized results, this takes time,practice,consistency and patience. In reality, lifting is in fact an art form.

2018 (Beginning of fitness journey 2017-18 no education, nutrition was non existent )

2019 (Working into fitness journey, small understanding in Gym. Nutrition: started eating healthier )

Now 2021/2022 (Discipline, consistency & education)

Staying hydrated allows toxins to be flushed from your body

I always hear “you’re young I was skinny when I was young” or I had a lady tell me the other day “ you can’t have an opinion when you look like that”

Let me tell you something AGE has nothing to do with a healthier lifestyle. In high school I wore a size 8. It took years of discipline and education to get here. I also suffer from ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis in my spine ),scoliosis, stenosis, herniated disks, TBI ( traumatic brain injury),muscle spams and the list goes on. Doctors havre made statements my back is worse than most elderly folks. There are days I have flare ups and can barley walk. There are days my vertebrae’s roll on top of each other cutting off my nerves to my legs.

STOP WITH THE EXCUSES.

THIS DOESNT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT

•Becomes habitual
•Results aren’t automatic
• Focus on the way you feel, not the number
•Take pictures instead
•Write down changes mentally and physically for 2 months. Use that as motivation to continue.
•Feel changes within four to six weeks
•See actual results within eight to 12 weeks

Everyone wants automatic results. Your body takes time.Consistency with physical activity and nutrition are the secret sauce. My body took years and I only started to maximize results when I educated myself and became consistent.
