Invasion XXI Lineup: Roger Ponce de Leon

Roger Ponce de Leon or „Ponce” is an internationally recognized leader, innovator, and competitive skydiver who was inducted into the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame in 2018. For almost 60 years, his pioneering contributions have shaped the discipline of formation skydiving. Ponce is coming to Invasion to organize some special jumps over the beautiful Sebastian Inlet, we are grateful to have him.

• Big-Way Formation Pioneer: Ponce spearheaded the evolution of formation skydiving from 40-person groups to historic, massive formations. He served as a designer, coach, adviser, and participant on the FAI world-record-setting 200-, 300-, and 400-way formations. The 400-way record set in 2006 remains historic in the sport.
• World Champion: He competed extensively in national and international meets, winning a gold medal at the 1981 FAI World Championships in the 8-Way discipline with the team Mirror Image.
• 1988 Olympic Demonstration: Ponce was a select member of the elite skydiving demonstration team that flew into the stadium to open the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.

Invasion XXI: Through the Ages - Relative Work

The year is 1988.
The world witnessed a skydiving formation that permanently shifted everyone’s perception about the sport. In front of 1.6 billion viewers in 160 countries, the beautiful Olympic rings formed over the blue skies of Seoul, Korea during the Opening Ceremony.

The precision demonstrated by the team helped to forever set aside the idea that skydivers plummet uncontrollably toward the earth. A beautiful photo of the team’s masterful creation was even featured in Time magazine.

We’re looking forward to hearing from two skydivers what that was like during Invasion. More to come.

Invasion XXI Lineup: Tommy Serre

Tommy is a 39 year‑old Canadian skydiver from Montreal, with over 2,500 jumps and Parachute Montreal as his home DZ. He is the co‑founder of the Laminar Flow Camp, an angle‑flying progression camp that he now runs solo. In the sport since 2016, he has earned multiple state records and was part of the most recent Head‑Down World Record.

Passionate about angle flying and freefly, Tommy brings precision, calm and energy to every jump and he’s also always down for a little cell‑bump after a jump. He also competes in VFS with his team, Les Manchots Empereurs, the current Canadian 4 way VFS champions.

Outside the sky, he works as a carpenter and crane operator, a background that shows in his attention to detail and strong work ethic. He’s excited to join the organizing team at Skydive Sebastian and help create an unforgettable event !

Invasion XXI Lineup: Lotem Rajowan

Lotem has over 2,200 skydives and has been an active part of the skydiving community since 2019 and her home DZ is skydive Deland.

Lotem is a huge supporter of women in the sport. She has participated in multiple skydiving records, organized women’s events, and is always finding ways to bring people together and create something fun for the community.

At Invasion, Lotem will be organizing belly jumps, bringing together jumpers of different experience levels to turn points, learn something new, meet new people, and most importantly, have a ridiculously good time flying on their bellies.

Lotem says: “If you can fall on your tummy, you’re invited to Tummy Time!!”
