After spending most of my life estranged from my mother Bea Arcaro Miller I have spent the past 13 years putting in the time and work it takes to get to know this side of my family

I started in 2012 with the idea of naming my boxing gym Arcaro Boxing after my maternal grandfather

Now- in 2024 with the help of many I have started a Foundation honoring the spirit of my maternal grandmother Clara M Carlucci

I am so proud of everything that I come from and all my Grandma did to raise her 17 kids through so many eras

Each day I wake up and ask how can I be of service today.

-Capitalism will not sink my desire to be effective for a good greater than myself
-Consumption is not what dictates my choices
-Environment dictates choice and I’m committed to understanding the environments that influence me —internal and external

-What can we do for one another to make society more functional?

-The paradigms we have created are not boding well for the masses and that means we must take a critical look at how we contribute to the dis-ease that is present

The thing I want more than anything for my birthday is for a PERMANENT CEASE FIRE and for a permanently FREE PALESTINE

I get to live another year while my brothers and sisters fight for the world to see them as human

Doing Functional Patterns is following first principles thinking—There is a movement that needs to happen and a person cannot do it with structural integrity- you have to deduce a starting point and constantly measure what your perceived results are - it takes a lot of listening to the person so they can hear how much they actually know - they also learn how little they think with a big picture approach- people do not think in context to anything- so much is narrow and disconnected. Using FP brings a global perspective to self and that allows me to have a global vision of others - I can see more of what’s actually happening in their bodies when I’m connected in mine.
I have movement goals as I age - I have great concern and desire for brain health as I age. I believe biomechanics are brain health - I personally have far different thought patterns even from 5 years ago and I know this is connected to my mechanics
If others want to do the work I can show them how one starts taking responsibility for their body.

I’m emerging and there is no stop to this emergence until death.

Ya gotta go all in on this life with yourself -Being of service to self and others - the continuity in that framework. The reciprocity is life giving. One can hold their self in high regard to the best of their structural ability- I am better quiet and observant- sturdy and fluid——any chaos I seek is a true reflection of bodily structural lack.

To me supporting Palestine is first principles thinking - there are humans in an oppressive environment- they have been developing their structure for years - years to emerge - and the youth today are fed up with inheriting weak structures! I’m working with more and more 18-22 year olds that are broken already - they are pi**ed at the lack of critical thinking skills they are observing-

Some stay stuck and are getting more anxious - others have the patience to stay uncomfortable until their changes get traction

To be able to sift through the external/internal environments. To sit in your own structure steadfast until you’re at the root.

There are so many hypocrisies and disconnections in our own bodies and this is where to start.

I do first by example so I can ask others to see a different paradigm. A serious life is a lot more enjoyable

To change your structure takes aggressive patience (thanks for the term )
It takes fixating on the patterns that are not always pleasant to face -
One cannot ignore their outcomes - for outcomes are a direct result of inputs and no lies are told when you take extreme responsibility

My scars are not at the surface- they hide under my skin and in my heart. I’ve never felt like I belonged here....it’s a place of ridicule of the other and not one of harmony or common threads. We hurt one another so that we don’t feel the pain we stuff away thinking that is the solution. I cannot fathom how we all think we are better and our way is better for we are clearly failing humanity. You label me as one who beats to her own drum but it isn’t true for if you place your ear to the earth, that is the rhythm with which I connect. My soul aches to return to nature- for it’s a place of ultimate accountability. But I am here and I have a duty to all creatures.....a duty to face my daily hypocrisy and all the harm I cause as a result. I’ve committed my life to healing and that is a messy endeavor to say the least. I’ve committed my life to humanity and sport is the only place that I can be slightly understood. Boxing is the highest truth that I have found.....beyond religion, beyond comprehension in the literal. Boxing is the place that abstract and actuality collide into a symphony strewn about the canvas. You all witness but never bear the responsibility unless your feet have slid upon the surface of the stage for all to see. Though seemingly outward, the exposure is really within. And that is what sets me free.
