Numb hands on a long ride aren’t just uncomfortable, they’re a sign something’s off with your position. Too much weight pushing through your hands and things start going sideways fast. The good news? It’s likely fixable. Handlebar position, height, angle, hood placement - there’s a lot we can work with.

We're turning the shed into a rage room... For one night only.
CBS Safety Smash Night is happening June 25th at 5PM and it's exactly what it sounds like. A lit-up, music-filled space where you bring your old gear and destroy it. All with the intention of learning more about bike safety. Old helmet that's 5 years old that you've been meaning to replace? Bring it. Busted lights? Bring those too. Random furniture in your apartment. Have at it! We'll handle the rest. We'll be having free safety audits in the shop to talk through what safety equipment may be on its last leg vs. what may have some life left. A full table of safety gear. And the most fun you'll have on a Thursday night. June 25. 5PM. At CBS!

You've got a bike you love. You've put some miles on it. And now you're starting to wonder: what do I actually do next?

The upgrade rabbit hole is real and it's easy to spend money on things that won't make a noticeable difference while overlooking the things that will.

Here's the short version of what we tell people: start with wheels. Every time. Most production bikes, even good ones, ship with wheel sets that were spec'd to hit a price point. Upgrading to a quality set is the single most noticeable change you can make to a bike. You feel it in the first pedal stroke.

If budget is the constraint, start with tires instead. After that: saddle, bar tape, clipless pedals if you haven't already. And when you're ready to go bigger, the groupset conversation is a great one to have.

We put together the full guide on the blog. Link in bio if you want the whole breakdown.

And if you're not sure where your money goes furthest on your specific bike, come in. We'll give you an honest answer.

June 3rd is World Bicycle Day, and honestly, every day at CBS feels like it. The bicycle is the most efficient machine ever invented. It gets people to work, connects neighborhoods, carries groceries, wins races, and occasionally convinces grown adults to wake up at 5am on a Saturday. We're proud to be part of a city that gets that.

E-bikes have come a long way and so has the conversation around them. Whether you're looking to go farther, climb more, commute without showing up sweaty, or just have more fun on the trail, there's a right e-bike for all kinds of riders.

Pivot has five different e-mountain bikes. Pinarello has the Nytro in road, all-road, and gravel. Orbea covers commuters, trail riders, and road cyclists. Ventum and Ibis round it out.

Not all the same bike. Not all the same rider. Check out our new blog post where we break down "what e-bike is right for you." Link in bio!

Slammed stems. White socks. Shaved legs. The sloping top tube. If you've spent any time in the cycling world, you've noticed these things but do you actually know where they came from?

Some of it is rooted in real performance logic. Some of it traces back to the 1800s. And some of it, honestly, is just gatekeeping dressed up as tradition.

We went deep on the history behind cycling's most iconic aesthetic rules. Swipe through for the highlights, and the full story is on the blog. Link in bio.
